2 friggin hours? I'm not gonna get those 2 hours back by logging on quicker with SP3. Well, maybe after 8 years.

I have an sbcglobal Yahoo email account and it works okay with me. Yahoo was gonna revamp their email system very soon. Maybe that has something to do with it.

If you can resurrect an old pooty more power to you. I never have been in that position.

How can legit companies like Kapersky have a hard time against a slut like Zango? Easy, it's called Global Economy. Zango (etc.) is not based on US (or even EU or UN) constitutional rights. And as intended or unintended retarded growths of Arnachy International every dastard inside those bizarre jurisdictions will uphold whatever misconstrued rights they have.
Can't blame them for trying.

Then there's the age old adage of just giving in and buying a new pooter.

Why do people who run a security company build such fiendish crap? Were they even arrested?

Changing RAM is about the most heavy duty 'inside the PC' thing I've ever done. I'm no help.
Yet I felt this strange urge to reply.

Do you have a non-Pentium processor? Are your PCs of the Compaq or Hewlett Packard (HP) variety?
Then you might want to take a gander here.

And that was the last that any of the children at Piriform ever heard of Anthony A again.

Yeah but think of all the torture you'll be missing.

Holey moley, Hazelnut, what a nightmare posting in that thread must've been. I bookmarked it for further reading. I read the 1st 2 pages. I am definitely keeping auto updates disabled for the next month or so. I have an old HP, but it's a Pentium 4. And it seems that the other thread on this forum here suggesting the option to uninstall IE7, install SP3, & reinstall IE7 was not just a whim. They obviously are having some big problems with SP3 & IE7 regarding install order.
When I eventually do get SP3, I think I will uninstall & then later reinstall IE7. That's not my style, but yikes.

Anyone here good enough at Photoshop skills to create an hysterical mock-up of HijackThis all pimped out like the bloatware that's so prevalent today?

When will utility companies learn that it's not all about them and that unicorns aren't real? It's like the term 'rock star' never died, it just remained hidden in the bowels of nerd.

All those "me first" people who updated to IE8 beta are gonna be bouncing off the walls if they don't see Hazelnuts' link up there.
I've tried a few tiny betas before, but not when it deals with the core of my PC.

Am I seeing sextuplet vision?
You know, this isn't a live online chat program like AIM, etc.

Thanks for replying Dennis. The help post you referred to mainly points out how to host and post an image, which I found out through agonizing trial & error back in 2001.
What I'm more concerned about is how to post a clickable (linking) thumbnail of an image in a post. Can you tell me how to do that? Thanks again!

Nice! Now, if we were only able to log on there....

Oh cool! I love that site. The hippo looks a tad smaller now. Nice coloring.

That worked! I'll remember that.
But even after trying out those other apps on that User account it still refuses to do anything but spit out new CLSIDs. Gotta be a bug or worm or virus or summit.

I don't know of any way to browse a User account from my sis's Admin account, nor how to log in as an Admin within the User account. That's what my main question leaned toward. I'm trying to install certain registry related apps within that User account. They won't install because it says "You are not an Admin". Of course not, it thinks I'm the User.
I used CCleaner (clean and registry) on all accounts. That's a big plus for CC, it's not obscenely picky like that.
But I need something more like a Brillo pad on this particular User account.
Here's some apps I've been trying to install in the User Account without success...
Revo Uninstaller
Eusing Free Registry Cleaner
Free Registry Defrag
Spybot Search and Destroy
SpyHunter (just to scan, I'm not gonna buy it) (matter of fact it seems any shareware/commercial reg cleaner won't clean unless you buy them.) (and even so, they won't install unless you're an Admin.)
RegSeeker, CCleaner, ERUNT and Adaware install & run fine.

Bleghhh...
I'm helping my sis clean up her pooter. She's the Admin, and she has 3 other Users/Accounts on the machine. I used RegSeeker on hers & 2 other User accounts. It works except this one account, whenever I run it just to see all the items it can list, the program reaches 100% (as in, we're all done here) after a long time but it still keeps on going forever & ever listing new CLSIDs. Forever. Over 5000 entries and still it lists new ones like 3 per second. And that User is hardly ever on this machine.
I'm thinking maybe it's a virus that generates new CLSIDs whenever a program looks at one. I'm not sure. But I've never had RegSeeker keep running beyond 100% before.
Anyway, in order to run any other hard core programs I need to be an Admin. Fine, I have my sis's password. But how the heck do I log into another Users' Account as the Admin? I've never had to do it before. Anybody know?
I be making icons

Well, I be beginning to understand how to make icons. I got IcoFX a while ago, and now I got the latest version of Apophysis. And there ya go. I still gotta delve into the tutorials of making glass buttons and I should be set. For now, just the neat square, flat miniature flame fractal fragments make nice icons. I know, I know, everyone says glass is so Web 2.0. Not me. Glass icons have always been sweet.
And on top of these, they should make them look like those swirls inside marbles.
