The solution is Dial-a-Fix:
-
Correct Eldmannen, however for people to really do their part it will most likely have to be made into a law that punishes those that don't do their part. Although the little green recycling bins in my city are helpful I really don't think they're doing enough. Recycling isn't exactly something new - there's a deposit in most areas for soda cans, etc., however the most crap I see laying around improperly discarded are water bottles that don't have a return deposit. If allot of the for consumption products such as water bottles had a desposit I don't think so many would end up in the wrong place, the regular trash can.

ive noticed that now im getting tracking cookies from FF.
there an extension for that too?
Arovax Shield will stop them, the link to it is in my signature.

Ah well, in 50 billion years the sun will have expanded (as all stars do) so much as to have cremated the inner planets - including us - before after a few more million years going super-nova and taking the other planets with it ... so it's all just a waste of time anyway...!
The estimates are around 4 billion years, but I don't think we'll care what the sun does at that point, hell if people are still around in that amount of time (probably would be Homo Sapien Superior by then) there may be technology that could actually move the whole planet and have it orbit an artifical sun.

My views of it totally changed from not caring if it was installed to my new approach of killing it which I did.

Possibly something that CCleaner's Issue scanner could have removed may have caused you the problem - if you have the undo.reg file it created you could post it as text in a quote or code so that we could see it. Other than that I have no ideal what happened and since I've never actually used DAP I won't make any assumptions that it was at fault.
There is a "fix" to hide and unhide user profiles on the Welcome Screen at http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm, scroll down to # 22 (on the left) and download the Unhide file just in case trying to remove those Issues causes the same thing. Just noticed # 45 (on the right), # 80 (on the right).

Their is absolutely no way in hell I will ever download music from any site ever again. I will always go to the store and buy the CD, even if they put DRM on those too at least it won't expire and its decent quality audio.
Pretty much my same thoughts, however I refuse to ever buy a copy-protected/copy-damaged CD and if I ever accidentally do I'll demand a refund - even to the point of getting my lawyer involved if a record store refuses to refund such as CD.

I personally put this down to the orbit around the sun, combined with the earth's 'wobble' means every x years we are y miles away/closer - so we will fluctuate temps, but we do have to keep our sun-roof (ozone).
The earths orbit of the sun does change, gotta love gravity. However the ozone is only part of what protects the earth from the sun, there's also the earth's magnetic field (some scientists are thinking it's shifting directions, the consequences could be nothing trivial to mass extinction, etc) which without there'd be no life on earth because solar radiation would have boiled the planet.

Yes a website can shutdown your PC and I used to deal with it years ago when visiting the ZDNet download website on my Win98 PC.
However I suspect it may also be because of an open port that can be remotely exploited by some script kiddy which can shutdown your PC which is something just about any modern software-based firewall (ZoneAlarm, Sygate Personal Firewall, Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall, even Windows Firewall) will protect against unless of course the problem is from a script on the website.
If this is constantly happening to you on a more than annoying level I'd suggest that you make sure it isn't malware related and do the following:
- Read and follow the Spyware Removal Guide
- Post a HijackThis log in:

It's not good advice at all! You're getting advice from people that obviously don't have a clue that the hell they're talking about - and why even bother using CCleaner if it's being purposely half crippled, it's as stupid as like buying a surround sound stereo and only using one speaker.
The majority of things in the applications tab only remove junk files, or recently used files (MRU) from the registry. About the only thing I ever recommend to uncheck from the Applications tab is Microsoft Office because cleaning it will remove the settings for Word and a few other Office programs, other than that everything is safe to clean without any worries
-
There's a CCleaner add-on called winapp2.ini, you can see if it's listed in it. If not you can use winapp2.ini as a sort of template to make your own cleaning add-on for Shareaza or any other program you use and wish to have cleaned. Just make sure if you make a cleaning routine for any program to thoroughly test it on your own system first for safety before submitting it as a winapp2.ini add-on.

The only way to clean other partitions/disks at this time is by using Custom Files and Folders, so for instance if you have partition G:\ with a Temp folder you could clean out G:\Temp.

I wonder if Lotus supplied the chassis because the shape looks allot like a Lotus Elise.

Well that's until Blu-Ray becomes more like the current DVD media and drives which are inexpensive, however that'll take several years. So you're saying that PS3 games are going to be on BD discs? Holy s**t, if they are I'd love to see and play a true hi-definition Final Fantasy game, well I'd have to get the proper t.v. for that though.

Look in the following directories for an Opera folder, and if found delete it.
- Windows XP:
- C:\Program Files
- C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data
- C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Profile Name\Application Data
- Other Windows versions, such as Windows 98:
- C:\Program Files
- C:\Windows\Application Data
- Windows XP:
-
I'll buy one AFTER Final Fantasy 7's remake comes out
7's to the plural man, "there's supposedly going to be multiple FF7 games."
-------
Expensive the PS3 may be, however what isn't in this world of inflation!

For anyone else interested in a quick and easy way to disable some troublesome ports there's a freeware utility called Windows Worms Doors Cleaner located at:
-
If it is really bad, then it might be worth it to format the disk and do a complete reinstall.
Many times that's the only fix, and is less of a headache versus doing some massive disinfection that isn't always 100% corrective.
-
Issues that keep reappearing is a common problem!
The fix can be obtained from:
-
Please clarify some things!
Is CCleaner showing it in 'Tools->Uninstall' or is CCleaner showing it in the large Cleaner button section? In any event if CCleaner is showing it, you may not have fully removed Opera as of yet.
You went through the registry to remove Opera there, however:
* There will still be an Opera program files folder left over.
* Possibly some Opera files in your global Application Data folder, or user profile Application Data folder depending on the Opera version you had installed.

I just watched a two hour global warming show on t.v. the other night produced by NBC News, BBC, and the Discovery Channel, and some other sources. It's rather difficult to know if being conservative is really going to halt any future damage, or if it's going to continue worsening. However the strange weather I've personally noticed over the last few years which are in constrast to what I remember just a decade or two ago don't seem anything like normal (like laughable very mild winters, early summers) would make me believe it will only get worse. The startling thing the global warming t.v. show revealed was that in our lifetimes we could see the horrific consequences of global warming such as; the melting of the polar regions, to massive flooding of coastal regions.
My city has had a recycling container/bin for many years now which we place recyclable products in such as some plastic containers, paper, cardboard shipping boxes, etc., but is that really enough? Other than that I don't go joy-driving and only drive my car when necessary which isn't exactly an enviromental thinking on my part but instead the cost of gasoline (thanks to the U.S. Gov making war in the middleeast) albeit I have a somewhat efficient but old car with a 4 cylinder engine which I may be replacing with a Volkswagen Golf GTI (with some power mods) in the next few months.

yeah but it won't mean anything good for us freeware users
That's what I was also thinking. But then again who knows for sure. I can already think off the top of my head of some Sysinternals apps that should be installed with Windows by default.

Welcome to the CCleaner forums mypenry!
Don't worry everyone was a newbie at some point, however if you stick around these forums you'll have some impressive computer lingo in a short amount of time.
I'd recommended reading the CCleaner Beginners Guide.
