  1. Are they adobe flash cookies? Maybe supercookies? Click one of them in the cookies on computer column and tell us what the symbol at the bottom of ccleaner says they are cookies of.
  2. You realllly are over reacting. The third stage was "planned" not guaranteed. The servers were shutdown and the infection was in a specific ccleaner version. All this announcement/press means is Avast is being transparent about what they're finding through autopsy. If you feel you might be infected, instead of reformatting the pc, blindly and rashly, seek aid at a trusted malware fighter site, such as those described in rule 10 of our forum rules (found at bottom of the forum index page).
  3. Windows and many other programs use ie/edge that's where this junk comes from.
  4. Double post. Locked this one please use your other thread.
  5. You can turn off notifications in ccleaner settings. I have only lowspace notification on and don't get these nags.
  6. Portable should work for you, if you're using pro move branding.dll to the portable folder on your flash drive.
  7. Probably not, cookies don't announce their primary/secondary state so there'd be no way for ccleaner to know.
  8. Yes there is a ccleaner for android, but you wouldn't install the pc version on the tablet. Instead go to the app store (or open the following link on the tablet: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.piriform.ccleaner
  9. There's not a way, but it would be quite dangerous and could easily cause problems that you don't catch for months.
  10. The opt-out for bundled software is on the first page of the installer
  11. Yes you can move it wherever you want it's juat an installer, you can even delete it after the install has finished.
  12. The 407 is very old, and you probably just forgot to delete it after the install
  13. If coding is possible, I like both these suggestions.
  14. Are you talking about in ccleaner?

Duplicate thread: locked. please use one topic per issue
  17. The option to install bundled software is opt-out on the first page of the installer, you most likely did not see it because it is there. The bundles are what keeps the free version of ccleaner (and other piriform product) existing. A way not to get the offers is to unzip the portable version over your current version and deleting the file portable.dat from the folder.
  18. Wait, you say it ran successfully without the ini, but then ask why it doesn't work properly without the ini. Perhaps i'm missing something. The winapp2 file is an optional ini, it contains extra cleaning rules. The TRIM bat and winapp2ool remove from winapp2 file any extra rules you don't use. The long wait time you reference from your report occurs because there are many rules in your winapp2. Shrink or stop using winapp2 and you'll see the analyze button appears more quickly. In short there's never a reason to run registry cleaning first, just need patience and/or a reduced set of rules to search for cleaning.
  19. I've moved this topic to the proper board (ccleaner for android).
  20. the delay in analyze button is the program scanning for apps. Usually this delay is long if you've got a large winapp2.ini file. Are you using a winapp2 or any ccleaner enhancing program?
  21. I notice in your image it is blocking it as cccleaner (three cees)
  22. This looks like a double post. I've locked this thread, if they are different (they at least begin exactly the same) please drop me a private message with a link to this topic and i'll unlock it.
  23. I've probably been lucky again Thanks google
  24. Andriod settings> accessibility, choose ccleaner in the list and it should be self explanatory at that point.
