  1. gmail ignores dots in email handles. x.x.x.x.x.yyyyy@gmail.com will send to xxxxxyyyyy@gmail.com
  2. oh joyous, I get loads of phishing attempts directed to emails that dont exist @winapp2.com
  3. @Joe: There was some discontent on MozillaZine that "devs spent time adding a unicorn instead of fixing Australis" hehe
  4. My firefox does, but because I have the windows border density set to 1px and the taskbar disabled in my second and third monitors, and move my windows between monitors with SHIFT+Win. When you do this, the window doesn't compensate for the task bar and covers it https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=874282
  5. The interface redesign (Australis) is largely unpopular due to looking like Chrome, though I personally like it. They removed some stuff, but I think the major purpose behind it was to streamline the code powering a decade old code structure behind the UI, and reduce jank as a result. Also to bring the desktop UI in line with the mobile one a la windows 8. Shorlander tweeted me a few months ago that the dark UI I posted a few pages back was slated to be in the works after Australis P1 lands, so that should be up and coming within the next few versions maybe (I'll let you know if anything hits mozilla central, which I use as my daily driver)
  6. end the hate against noncorpoealkin, to tumblr! On topic, I've 27 new entries prepped for the next release already
  7. The new customize page is a tab, you can close it like any other tab if you have that problem again in the future
  8. Firefox 29 is out 29 release notes: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/29.0/releasenotes/ 30 beta release notes: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/30.0beta/releasenotes/ 31 aurora release notes: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/31.0a2/auroranotes/
  9. Oh, I see what you're saying now. The only third party apps that seem to follow this convention for me are Earlybird, Nightly, and Pidgin. CCleaner at least doesn't dump all of its 'junk' (uninstaller/homepage) on the main start screen, which is more than I can say for a lot of other applications.
  10. Luik try uninstalling and reinstalling CCleaner completely, only CCleaner shows up on my start page, not the uninstaller or the home page link (which show up in the all-apps view but NOT the start screen)
  11. can you elaborate on 'less important?' I prefer to avoid deleting settings of unsuspecting users
  12. I'm unsure as to whether or not the sector size is queryable, but if it is I think there should be an option (or defaulted) display of the actual size on disk of the files deleted, since it more accurately represents the size of files deleted in large numbers (such as temporary internet files or the new mozilla cache architecture)
  13. File name looks wrong, should be ccsetup413.exe.
  14. [McAfee AntiVirus] ID=2242 LangSecRef=3021 DetectFile=%CommonAppData%\McAfee\MCLOGS Default=True FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\McAfee\MCLOGS|*.log|RECURSE To prevent this from showing up, delete C:\ProgramData\McAfee\MCLOGS (win vista+) or C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\McAfee\MCLOGS (winxp) [Adobe Photoshop CS3] ID=2139 LangSecRef=3021 Detect=HKCU\Software\Adobe\Photoshop\10.0 Default=True RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Adobe\Photoshop\10.0\VisitedDirs RegKey2=HKCU\Software\Adobe\MediaBrowser\MRU\Photoshop\FileList Delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Photoshop\10.0 from the registry [Oxygen XML Editor] ID=2327 LangSecRef=3021 DetectFile=%AppData%\com.oxygenxml\ Default=True FileKey1=%AppData%\com.oxygenxml\usageData|usageData.xml FileKey2=%AppData%\com.oxygenxml|file.history FileKey3=%AppData%\com.oxygenxml|project.history Delete %AppData%\com.oxygenxml (type this in the explorer address bar, command prompt, or run dialog to access it if you have hidden files hidden)
  15. Try opening an admin command prompt and running SFC /scannow
  16. Most of the ones that use a detect like that are for windows subsystem-relevant entries, but if you find any that can be more accurate with a detect, let me know. I'll take a look myself and see if I can make things a bit more percise. The TF2 keys have their own entry now [Team Fortress 2 Cache and Cookies*] Section=Games Detect=HKCU\Software\Valve\Steam\Apps\440 Default=False FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\config\cookies|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\config\html\AppCache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey3=%ProgramFiles%\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\cache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey4=%ProgramFiles%\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\materials\temp|*.vtf|RECURSE since Steam is a platform and TF2 is a specific game. The regkeys work a lot like file keys, but I'm not sure those are worth deleting (they seem to identify the computer, unsure as to whether this is a function of hostsman or a privacy concern). If someone else thinks they are, I have no issue making the regkeys.
  17. but muh' android market share!
  18. Seems to be the way to go, will do.
  19. Just a guess but Credentials|*.*|RECURSE seems very password-killy
  20. Google recently issued a refund to everyone who bought this app
  21. app_id.txt and the steam store lists the app id in the url
  22. No consequences that I can imagine, try clearing your recycle bin manually (from the desktop) or from cleanmgr to see if that fixes it.
