  1. I like your suggestion. But I advise you to send MrG an e-mail with this suggestion. Maybe he can integrate it with a new version of CCleaner, which, in my view, is already long overdue.
  2. That's right. See here for instance: http://djlizard.net/2005/11/18/102
  3. Try Dial-a-fix (download from www.djlizard.net). Dial-a-fix is a collection of 'known fixes' that was created over the past year that really knock out some serious Windows problems, all with one or two clicks.
  4. Cool? No it isn't. It is so sloppy that it detects toolbar.isearch.com as a hijack when you've put it in your host file to prevent becoming infected.
  5. I'm always a bit wary when someone thinks highly about a program that you ultimately have to pay for. There are other, rather similar programs that are free to use.
  6. Cool, crisp and clean. It has certainly potential.

    Mozilla

    Yes, it does clean Mozilla.
  8. You might try Restoration (http://www3.telus.net/mikebike/RESTORATION.html). Its primary goal is finding deleted files but it can also be used to permanently remove/overwrite all delted files.
  9. I understand the decision to close the discussion because all that could be said was said. But the whole point is that CCleaner is a cleaner with the ultimate goal of speeding up your computer. And what's the use of cleaning something that hurts performance? Even when it is some nanoseconds.
  10. Cops in The Netherlands are used to approach such a car on the passenger-side. It's much safer in that sort of conditions (as the video shows) and you have a better view of the suspect.
  11. Contig by System internals is amazing. Wow!
  12. Try thinking of spyware and then it all fits together.
  13. Strangely enough... FrontPage and the Registry Keys mentioned are already cleaned.
  14. We've had this before. Somebody is obviously cheating and violating our trust.
  15. Hmm, but still... Some info could be deleted.
  16. Yeh, the easter egg is a bit lame. Sailing with Dan Brown's 'The Da Vinci Code'. (Leonardo da Vinci's homo universalis). Everybody knows that.
  17. Nope, nobody gets NOT my vote to bar someone from the forum! A forum like this some be run like a democracy and not like some totalitarian regime. If you don't like what someone is saying just ignore him. Only when someone is abusive we could exclude him from the forum.
  18. smartdrvscandiskregedit /e reg.txtregedit /c reg.txtsmartdrv /x Something to be put in CCleaner?
  19. Maybe this tip from MalwareBytes.biz: Clear the prefetch folder: My Computer Local Disk C Windows Folder Prefetch folder Delete all the .pf files
  20. What about adding cleaning of X-Cleaner logs? (X-Cleaner is available for download on www.xblock.com)
  21. Maybe Office Setup Files (as in Disk Cleanup in Windows)
  22. Maybe removal of Norton Anti-virus Quarantined files? And, if possible, the same form other anti-virus-programs, anti-spyware-programs, anti-trojan-programs. Users tend to forget that those unneeded files linger in their system.
