I like your suggestion. But I advise you to send MrG an e-mail with this suggestion.
Maybe he can integrate it with a new version of CCleaner, which, in my view, is already long overdue.
Try Dial-a-fix (download from www.djlizard.net).
Dial-a-fix is a collection of 'known fixes' that was created over the past year that really knock out some serious Windows problems, all with one or two clicks.
I'm always a bit wary when someone thinks highly about a program that you ultimately have to pay for. There are other, rather similar programs that are free to use.
You might try Restoration (http://www3.telus.net/mikebike/RESTORATION.html). Its primary goal is finding deleted files but it can also be used to permanently remove/overwrite all delted files.
I understand the decision to close the discussion because all that could be said was said.
But the whole point is that CCleaner is a cleaner with the ultimate goal of speeding up your computer. And what's the use of cleaning something that hurts performance? Even when it is some nanoseconds.
Cops in The Netherlands are used to approach such a car on the passenger-side. It's much safer in that sort of conditions (as the video shows) and you have a better view of the suspect.
Nope, nobody gets NOT my vote to bar someone from the forum!
A forum like this some be run like a democracy and not like some totalitarian regime. If you don't like what someone is saying just ignore him.
Only when someone is abusive we could exclude him from the forum.
Maybe removal of Norton Anti-virus Quarantined files?
And, if possible, the same form other anti-virus-programs, anti-spyware-programs, anti-trojan-programs. Users tend to forget that those unneeded files linger in their system.
