  1. No, it isn't working properly because in the examples mentioned the "DetectFile=" line is missing in two of them.
  2. Piriform is a mathematical entity, defined by the formula a(4).y(2)=b(2).x(3).(2a-x). And yes, the result is a pear shaped curve.
  3. Yes, I like it on first glance. Maybe the pear should have had a little tilt to signify a forward movement of the company. It looks a bit static now.
  4. @ JDPower: Yes, I added that one myself (and reported it to MrG). I works perfectly on my system.
  5. My (working) SpyBot entries: [spyBot Search and Destroy]LangSecRef=3024Detect=HKCU\Software\Safer Networking Limited\SpybotSnDDefault=TrueFileKey1=%commonappdata%\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs|*.*FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\Spybot - Search & Destroy|advdebug.txtFileKey3=%commonappdata%\Spybot - Search & Destroy|Statistics.iniFileKey4=%windir%\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs|*.*FileKey5=%windir%\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy|Statistics.iniFileKey6=%commonappdata%\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Backups|*.log
  6. Another option is to use Secunia Personal Software Inspector. See here.
  7. Which means that CCleaner could safely remove the entire content of SoftwareDistribution... Right?
  8. Like this? [*Windows Update Logs] LangSecRef=3025 DetectFile=%windir%\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\Logs Default=False FileKey1=%windir%\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\Logs|*.* FileKey2=%windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Download|*.*
  9. These are Unix/Linux files. See for instance here.
  10. My system is cleaned very sloooowly by CCleaner too. I hope the problem is being worked on. We will lose fans this way.

    Happy Xmas

Yes, have a merry and peaceful Christmas.
  12. Must we count the legs of the seats in the bus too?
  13. SpyBot entry in winapp.ini isn't reflecting the new name: Detect=HKCU\Software\Safer Networking Limited\SpybotSnD Users can replace the existing line with the above.
  14. And most of these 700 entries will be re-created the moment you remove them. Which makes it quite useless to remove them to begin with
  15. SoftwareDistribution can be safely and securely emptied by Dial-a-fix (created by DjLizard). Downloadable here.
  16. A very worrying development. Did you by any chance happen to visit a poker site, like videopokerclassic.com? Please send a HijackThis log to the appropiate section in this forum here.
  17. Why should you want to use a cleaner that is effectively discontinued? Disk Cleaner: Last updated: Nov 20th, 2005
  18. @ ishan_rulz: Not a very helpful reply. No, Netscape Navigator is not in winapp2.ini @ ckit: Not a very helpful reply. That was not what the member asked. Netscape Navigator is his browser of choice.
  19. The above post looks suspiciously like spam to me, although it has no working links.
  20. Maybe CCleaner could be used to remove some of the junk from a HP printer. Who can write a winapp2.ini entry to do so?

    Tvdebug.log

Try adding to the winapp.ini file of CCleaner. Make sure you create a backup first (although tvdebug.log is considered save to delete).
  22. I think you are asking that question in the wrong forum. The programs that are created by Piriform are security-related while a keylogger is potentially malware.
