  1. When I was in Brussels ages ago I visited several Art Museums and was enthralled by the beauty and the bountiful number of famous artists' paintings and statues as well as the magnificent buildings of the Grand Place. The seemingly endless different beers and wonderful restaurants featuring Mules Au Frit with their wonderful broths are well worth savoring.

  3. Welcome harlan8 Many of the tracking cookies plus blocking of malware sites can be prevented by the use of a HOSTS file. I use hpHosts and MVPS HOSTS files: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm <== has a good description of the HOSTS file and its use I manage them with HostsMan and I use its HostsServer proxy to speed up browsing: http://www.abelhadigital.com
  4. To paraphrase a credit card's slogan What's in your Startup Folder? I like to have the little mouse eyes peek at me then disappear when it has checked that all installed applications are up to date.

  14. That was it but I could not remember where I got it from. Thank you. My brain hurts! I had a few wobbly pops yesterday. I am copying the utilities I want over into the C:\Program Files\Various Applications Folder.
  15. I just noticed that the entries that change are in my Favorites but I forgot that I put them there. The registry item is blank

  17. It is quite impressive and I have a couple of requests. 1. The READ ME FIRST.txt is a bit wide unless I use Word Wrap which I don't like as I like to see the Ln and Col information in the Status Bar 2. For some reason I do not have "Send To" and then click on "Desktop" available on my XP Home system. This might be a bit harder to implement: 3. Many of the utilities do not come with an install interface and are just .zip files that have to be un-zipped and usually they go into their own Folder with the name of the zip file. I wish there was an easy way to get them to un-zip into C:\Program Files\Various Applications I hope you understand what I mean.
  18. I have disabled Use inline AutoComplete and I still see the previous entries appear in the Address bar. I thought that Recently Typed URLs in Windows Internet Explorer should clear them but it does not. I can not find where the URLs are stored in the registry. I have done a reboot.

  20. I like AutoComplete but I would like CCleaner to clean them out when I run it but I guess the entries are stored in the registry somewhere and if I find the registry location then I will include it in a registry clean.
  21. davy, this is something that annoys me as well and can only be displayed when you begin to type something into the Address field in IE and all previous typed entries appear as an aid to help you in selecting old entries. I just ignore the advice and just keep typing the URL I want.

(Code 19) I saw this fix recommended a couple of times: http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2008/0...-damage-code-19 I also recommend USBDeview to find what USB Device Has Been Used On Your Computer: http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2007/0...n-your-computer It looks like plugging in a device with similar properties disables its use.
