  14. You have that right. I do like Chinese Food though but the thought of a whole mess of Moo Goo Gai Pan near my hard drive makes me shudder.
  15. Welcome jrltec The wbemess.log is one of Windows files that is constantly in use and is locked open just like index.dat files so when you ask CCleaner to clean it then Windows refuses permission. Windows manages this file to keep track of what is happening to analyze failures I believe. WMI Service Log Files: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa827355(VS.85).aspx

  18. If I remember correctly the system is automatically rebooting? If yes then disable automatic reboot like I indicated earlier. I think that the installation of SP3 enables auto reboot and if I remember so did SP2.

  24. Luckily my apartment faces west and on clear day I can see the CN Tower in Toronto and Lake Ontario to the south so I hope that the weather co-operates and provides a bit of clear sky but we have been having mostly days and nights with cloudy skies with rain or snow.
  25. I have used Win95, Win98, Win98SE and WinME plus a few versions of DOS. I ordered the SP3 CD and it came quite quickly so I guess you would have to talk to Microsoft UK to find out why they do not offer it. That sounds like a driver problem. Switch off Auto reboot and then you will get the beloved BSOD that will show you the failing module then you can find out who it belongs to then see if there is an updated driver. In Control Panel/Systems/Advanced/Startup and Recovery/Settings Clear the Automatically Restart flag. I had to do this recently when avast! started to crash on me and it brought back a few memories I must say Ed Grimley.
