[Fixed in 5.89.9401] CCleaner 5.89.9385 immediately closes on launch

I agree with Harwich.  This is the work-around steps I'm using until such time the latest version of CCleaner is fixed: 

Step 1 - Disconnect from the Internet. 

Step 2 - Open CCleaner.  It should stay open at this point. 

Step 3 - Reconnect to the Internet and run whatever sub-program(s) within CCleaner you want.

Windows 10 Pro Version 21H2

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

I'm having the same problem both  with my HP  pc with Windows 11  and my fix pc with windows 10.  I tried to disinstall and reactivate the ccleaner program but no benefits. The problem is still there.  Are there possible solutions to this problem???

Not sure if just me..after most recent update, CCleaner shuts down. I try to access the program but it keeps shutting down. Reinstalled it and same issue. Went to my windows 10 backup to have original install of ccleaner now it was fine. Then,  did the CCleaner update again, and the cleaner program shuts down will not work.

My first suspicion is that this may be an Antivius blocking the new CCleaner version from running?

We do see that happen occasionally when it takes the AV time to update it's definitions and recognise the new CCleaner version.
They see the new CCleaner version as 'different' so block it.
Certain AV's have become particulary known for it, and taking time to update their definitions.
I those cases once the AV does get a definition update it stops blocking CCleaner.

It may be helpful if anyone else reporting this issues says in their post what antivirus they are using, and what version number the AV is.
Please give the version number of the AV, just saying that it's 'up to date' is not realy helpful. (and not always correct).

Lo vediamo occasionalmente quando l'AV impiega del tempo per aggiornare le sue definizioni e riconoscere la nuova versione di CCleaner.
Vedono la nuova versione di CCleaner come "diversa", quindi bloccala.
Alcuni AV sono diventati particolarmente noti per questo e richiedono tempo per aggiornare le loro definizioni.
In quei casi, una volta che l'AV ottiene un aggiornamento delle definizioni, smette di bloccare CCleaner.

Potrebbe essere utile se qualcun altro che segnala questo problema dice nel proprio post quale antivirus sta utilizzando e quale numero di versione è l'AV.
Si prega di fornire il numero di versione dell'AV, dire solo che è "aggiornata" non è molto utile. (e non sempre corretto).

Sono convinto che il problema derivi dal conflitto con alcuni antivirus, nei due pc dove non funziona casualmente è presente l'ultima versione di norton 360, in quello dove invece funziona c'è installato 360 total security. Ribadisco che sino all'aggiornamento di ieri anche con norton non ho mai avuto conflitti e convivono installati sui due pc da più di un anno.

Dear supporter,

yesterday I noticed the problem on my two computers one with windows 11 and the other with Windows 10. Both PCs have installed the version of 5.89 and now Ccleaner opens but immediately closes.I tried uninstalling and a clean install,several times but always the  same problem.I was convinced there was a problem on my computers and therefore i've made a new reorder of Ccleaner 5.89 professionalm plus 2 years. I've received the new version Cleverbridge order number ***** and made a new installation of this 5.89 on both my computers but after 5.89 was installed no changes . After opening CCleaner the window will appear but then close within a couple of seconds. I've noticed on the forum that a lot of people has currently the same problems and therefore I  request your kind help to fix and solve this problem. Unlikely I've spent further money without solving the problem.
