Willy2 Posted March 28, 2013 Share Posted March 28, 2013 My take on this story is that this is a retaliation/revenge for the EU giving the savers on Cyprus a "haircut" of 25% (or more). And it seems the bulk of those "savers" were criminals from Eastern Europe and/or Russia who thought that their "savings" were safe in Cyprus. And those "savers" have used Cyrpus to launder money, to "fleece" the russian tax authorities. to avoid paying taxes in Russia.
