Corona
http://www.filehippo.com/download_soluto/ (that's just the info page, not a download link) I never heard of this app/beta before, it appears to be a....I don't know. It seems community involved (like WOT). I'm just not sure how safe an app like this would be. Any of you familiar with this thing?
Moderators Nergal Posted February 23, 2011 Moderators Share Posted February 23, 2011 How bizarre a "frustration detector" ???? ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Winapp2.ini
Actually I just installed it and it just seems to be a boot manager. Haven't rebooted for it to take effect yet, will post back. Edit: I was right, it gives you recommendations on how to shorten boot time, here's some screenshots: Identifying Applications: http://ompldr.org/vN2o2ZQ - A look at an unknown app: http://ompldr.org/vN2o2Zg - A look at a known app: http://ompldr.org/vN2o2Zw - A look at a known app that cannot be removed (yet...) http://ompldr.org/vN2o2aA - Verbose data: http://ompldr.org/vN2o2bw - History (filled out as you boot more times, I suppose. Corona
I installed it and yep it's a boot manager. You can pause or delay bootable items or just leave them be. I delayed one item. I have Carbonite and only occasionally run it, so no need for it to start at boot. Saves me 17 seconds. But can't you do the same thing in AutoRuns? ishan_rulz
I had it before I reinstalled my Windows. At first I was amazed and all but after a few reboots I don't think it helped too much, plus it has some sort of animation every time Windows is loading where it calculates the time taken to boot. I didn't like that. I prefer having almost nothing at start up, no delays, nothing. Simplicity is hard.
Moderators hazelnut Posted February 23, 2011 Moderators Share Posted February 23, 2011 Thanks guys for providing the info and screenshots about this. I guess we will wait and see now. I'm a tiny bit wary of boot managers as sometimes delaying or stopping one item can have unexpected effects. But still, it's nice to see new apps and the user interface looks user friendly and easy to understand (so many just talk in tech language which puts people off) Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
Moderators Andavari Posted February 24, 2011 Moderators Share Posted February 24, 2011 When I use HandBrake and it crashes allot I think Soluto would tell me I'm frustrated.
