I also am having NO problems with the new version, try it out your self to be sure. Most of the bugs reported there are to do with using a non-english language and saving setting to the ini file instead of the registry(default). or the new filename wiping not wiping. Only one reported having a problem running CCleaner normally. So try it yourself and be the judge, you can always return to any version you want in no explicit order.

If using firefox make sure its closed before running CCleaner (including the 'processes' in 'Task manager')

I had a similar problem connecting up our broadband/ADSL router/modem. Q. The modem should have lights 1. Power 2. various network ones 3. Internet 4. DSL (or similar) Are the DSL & Internet lit up? A. Try moving the ADSL/Router to the phone socket and connect with a shorter lead, watch the lights, Q. Do DSL & Internet light up, if so you need a shorter lead, for some reason. It worked for me. If not wait for more help, or contact AOL for help. NOTE: I don't use AOL so cant comment directly to your problem.

NOTE 98lite is not an official windows product but Win98 reconfigured/extra code removed to be better, faster etc. This in itself could be causing the problems. Last I checked CCleaner (recient version not latest) works correctly in Windows 98/98SE and I remember having small troubles in Win 95b. You cant expect programmers to make their program compatible with a nonstandard/hackedabout version of windows. How easy is comodo to set up? I installed a copy a few months ago and it completely knocked out my network/internet connection. No, I'm not a noob at windows or pc's, I've almost completed my Diploma of Network Engineering along with years of practice and fiddling at home. I couldn't be bothered fiddling with the settings so I uninstalled and put back the previous one, I decided that any firewall that disabled Internet altogether as soon as I completed installing, just wasn't worth the trouble as I wouldn't be recommending it to anyone. Though seeing its getting recommended by people around the forum, I was thinking about testing it out again... What did I miss during install the last time?
