  1. http://forum.pirifor...35 Which Chrome, CCleaner and Windows versions are you using?
  2. Hello. You might have some Firefox-related processes running in the background. Check your Task Manager for processes named firefox.exe & plugin_container.exe and end the processes. Which CCleaner & Firefox version are you using? Windows version?
  3. IE & Firefox versions? Have you tried rebooting and/or reinstalling CCleaner?
  4. Which icon do you mean? Where did you download CCleaner?
  5. Actually, it is (bottom of the page): http://www.piriform....leaner/download
  6. Hello. You don't need to create two seperate threads about the same problem. Here's the other one: http://forum.pirifor...showtopic=37663 Which versions of - Windows - CCleaner - IE are you using? Have you tried rebooting? How about reinstalling CCleaner or tried the portable version? Running SFC creates CBS logs -> Link
  7. I use both (Skype & WLM), and I'd like to keep it that way. Some of my friends don't use Skype & vice versa.

    DDR4 SDRAM

New DDR4 DRAM modules are expected to ship in late 2013 (from Crucial).
  9. Thunderbird got also updated, but it didn't get v18 yet. Thunderbird 17.0.2 Download (FileHippo) | Release Notes
  10. Windows Search & Indexing sucks.
  11. Thanks hazelnut! It's pretty rare that GPU drivers have security exploits. Potential security risks might've been the reason AMD discontinued the autoupdate feature. Link for the NVIDIA GeForce 310.90 drivers.
  12. Firefox 18.0 Download (FileHippo) | Download (Mozilla) | Release Notes Palemoon 15.3.2 Download | Release Notes | 64bit
  13. The only drawback IMO. Though all my drives are NTFS except my USB stick(s). But I backup my USB stick to HDD so I kinda can search the files there. I've noticed something like this before, but hasn't really been a problem. I just checked and updated Everything; I had v1.2.1.451a (alpha) and now -> v1.3.0.631b (beta). (Still) looks nice & fast. Maybe even better than previously.
  14. Same here. I do a full defrag (or freespace defrag) very rarely, because it's time & HDD consuming. I usually just defrag the files whenever I feel like it, but if there's alot of fragments, maybe twice a month. Full defrag maybe once in 3+ months. I might defrag more often if I'd still have HDD instead of SSD (as Windows drive). My HDDs are just for storage; don't need much defragmenting.
  15. Uninstalling Programs Though it doesn't quite answer what you asked. IIRC CCleaner uses programs' own uninstaller, so it doesn't do any cleanups on it's own. You could try running Cleaner + Registry Cleaner after an uninstallation (or maybe after reboot).
  16. Same here. Which version did you use? You could've tried some alternative eg. Locate32..?
  17. Never used any, haven't really needed a replacement. Maybe I don't have that many (and deep) folder structures etc.. Some things I've replaced a long time ago are Windows' defrag & search (->Defraggler/UltraDefrag/WinContig & Everything). Oh and mediaplayer (never really used WMP) & browser (->mainly MPC HC & Firefox). Also Win firewall -> Comodo.
  18. Which version of Windows and Defraggler are you using? How much do you have (%) freespace? You can defrag & validate game files (at least for TF2) through Steam btw.
  19. Probably my bad, read it quickly so must've misread (on mobile).
  20. Same here (on Win7). They might encrypt the key differently or it depends which kind of key is used..? Is it Retail, OEM, which Win version etc?
  21. Been using the old 1,5x "rule" with low RAM PCs. I've 8GB RAM and had ~6GB Pagefile (on a HDD, not SSD), but recently changed it to min 512mb - max 512mb and moved back to SSD. Seems to work nicely and doesn't wear out or take too much space from my 128GB SSD.
  22. Bleh, (my) MBAM doesn't notice about new program updates at all. Even if I update the database. Also under the "Latest news:" I've just an announcement about MBAM 1.65. Never used this so wouldn't need it anyways.
  23. (I, too, would like to know) This.
