The author of this thread thinks it's a valid concern, thus it is.
No point in trying to invalidate wolfie by pointing to minimized impact on functionality or uselessness to another/unrelated individual; it is still a valid question.
All wolfie wanted was to be pointed in the direction of the option to preserve favicons.
We're sorry wolfie, CCleaner doesn't currently have that ability, but feel free to turn this thread into an official request for that feature!
Cheers.
Though the purpose of Crap Cleaner is to CLEAN out the crap, not keep it.

Get BitLord. www.bitlord.com Then you can download torrent files.
-
Yes, but if you look at SuperCleaner, it has an option which allows you to clean out the cache but not the favicons if you want. So clearly it would be possible for CCleaner to leave the favicons intact.
You want to keep an icon that will only be seen in IE under the favorites? What harm is there in wiping them and just letting them get restored when you see the site?
-
I mean if I install it now, use it for 365 days then when it expires, I could uninstall (and remove all traces) and reinstall and have another 365 days of updates?
See here or scroll up. ^^

LOL! Kinda looked like it in that pic.

I agree. Whitelisting the eula.txt for Ventrilo would be nice.

System is completely clean. All of these are optional and should result in better pc performance and more free RAM.
You may also wish to look into Real Alternative instead of RealPlayer.

yes, my favicons always vanish from my favorites menu straight after running CCleaner and restarting IE.
This has actually been covered here on the forums before. It's because when you clean out the cache the favicons are stored in the cache. They come back if you go to the sites again.
-
Doesn't look like they're going anything "wrong"? lol.
-
-
Should be. All DAT files get updated in older versions unless they say there's a cutoff.
-
I've been using Giant Antispyware since before Microsoft bought them.
I don't use SpywareBlaster, I use Giant, Ad-Aware, Spybot & NoAdware3.
But I only use Giant to monitor ib the tray.
You should use SpywareBlaster (It doesn't even have to run with your pc, just apply and done), Ad-Aware, and Spybot. Trust me.
-
SpywareBlaster stops tracking cookies.
Even I use MSAS (but not in my tray running all the time).
-
Yeah, it's for the tray icon that actively monitors the computer. Not really needed if you use Firefox and SpywareBlaster.
-
I had one like that once. Totally safe to delete.
You can also remove the ATIPTA and gcasServ.

I mainly watch Stargate SG-1. The Godzilla movies are awesome to watch. I also watch Fifth Element, and a few other good ones.
-
Back in 1955 , that was the typical attack position of Godzilla.Element of Surprise.....
Godzilla Fan and Sci-Fi Fan......
As am I. I have almost every movie on VHS or DVD.

- Mommy, what's the big dinosaur doing to the other one?
This picture comes from Godzilla Raids Again (aka. Gigantis The Fire Monster). This was an actual scene. (The monsters were really fighting in downtown Tokyo.)
*Would have made this a poll, but can't.

I was right. You're downloading the Mac version. -.-
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
See where it says Windows 2000 or XP? Well click on the Option to the left of that text, then download.
Or use this Direct Link.
-
Try this link. I have a feeling you got the Mac OSX version.
-
wtf I think I need to lay off the "first thing in the morning" posts..
-
If you want you can still post a HijackThis log and have it cleaned.
-
hahaha

If the new Link doesn't work for you, I do have a standalone but it needs updating. I'm trying to update it now. I will add it to the Forum if requested by you.
Sounds cool, worth looking at.
