  1. Try a hardier breakfast like me, I eat diamonds. Its an expensive taste, but they're good for the digestion, ect. Keep me tougher than nails too!
  2. I had rum once (with permission and under supervision, of course. T'was only a tad too!) I cant see how you'd stomach that in the morning!
  3. Ah, freakin' Steam, man. I just got an account a few weeks ago so I could play CSS with my buddy Mike. I think its unrelated to my gaming, but it may have to do with the fact I had once installed over 107,000 fonts and removed a better part of them when it took my machine 6 minutes to boot up. Though if anyone wants the fonts I have a torrent Probably operator error on my part, I never thought to check if my system font was changed. On an unrelated note, did you know the titlebar for active windows' text is in Trebuchet MS? edit: in relation to the games I installed, they were a bunch of really old games (and a few not so old) that I found in my CD case I've been looking for. They included Doom, Doom 2, Doom 3, Quake 1, Age Of Empires 3 + Expansion, Diablo (1998 and 1996, I elected to use the former) Diablo 2 + expansion. Perhaps a few others, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g59/kens...193910/uhoh.png
  4. I don't think its ccleaner causing the problem. Are you sure its not operator error?
  5. As many of you know, I'm prone to the stranger kind of windows xp related problems. One arose in mid November, when I accidentally removed some system fonts. I ask you, how if I didnt remove the Tahoma font, did my system font default to MS Sans Sheriff? I dont know either. Anyway, my font was messed up, so I popped my cd in and changed around the DPI but couldnt figure it out. Today, after installing many games (heh) I got fed up with being unable to read half of the stuff on my screen, so I tried again. I looked around for a fix, and it turned out that HKLM\Software\microsoft\windows NT\current version\FontSubstisutes\ key "MS Shell Dlg" key was set to the value of "MS Sans Sheriff" instead of "Tahoma" ....HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN?! woe is me and my computer, which never seems to want to act erratically..normally.
  6. Winapp2.ini

    DirectX

    bumping this thought along.
  7. I have 4.0gb, winxp doesn't pick up more than 3.2 though. I assume win7 64bit is a lot less fail than winvista 64 bit. I have win7 on a partition on a laptop, but I haven't used it much.
  8. Sorry for the double post, but what is the appeal of 64 bit? I ran 64bit vista on this machine upgrad-er I mean "down"graded to windows XP (my intent from the start) 64 bit crashed a lot, was hard to find certain programs for and generally didnt work correctly for me. The only advantage is that its way ahead of most hardware, as far as I can tell.
  9. I've had a few this month, I felt like contributing this one however.. points for new start button text? I'm debating whether to keep it "Rob" or change it to "Robert" better resolution: http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g59/kens...0/desktop-1.png
  10. try this: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\" new -> REG_DWORD -> "EnableBalloonTips" Set value to 1 should enable the balloon tips once again if thats what you're talking about.
  11. I have noticed a massive speed increase from the previous version to this one ^^
  12. I find the fastest file transfers are done with hardware.
  13. Dont exert yourself too much, or we'll need a crash cart on the Piriform Forums Glad to see you're feeling better though. I was in the hospital for three days once, back in the February of 2003, was NOT fun. IV drip in my hand, its great that they didnt have an ICU at the first hospital I was brought to probably extended my stay a bit. Just a passing thought. ^
  14. Haven't you read the bill of rights? Freedom of eating whatever we want is in there. Sadly, theres never any food in my house ;_;
  15. Back to anime this week. Sadly my image is blocked by my icons D: Full image:
  16. O-out side? But theres fresh air and ..and people! I'd be scared
  17. Ski Free? Oh god, I loved that game when I was little. It came pre-installed on windows 95, but I think that was all. I used to play it until I got eaten by the er..monster..guy..thing.. I found a nostalgia inducing picture on the Africa of the Internet (the safest term I could use without saying its name, if you don't know what I'm talking about, consider yourself lucky ) ^^ Just thought I'd drop a note, I know most of you are more experienced with the older operation systems and may remember good old Ski Free.
  18. Having an affair with Vista?
  19. I love the sims 2 I have all the EPs and stuff packs (except for apartment life and home and garden and pets and I think Free Time, so I guess not all, about 90% then.) I've never had this problem though, and I keep everything checked. I wonder what may have caused that problem.
