Agreed AMD is much better than Intel, plus the 939 socket ensures that it will be upgradeable into the future. Seems like you made some good choices, but I don't have much experience in the ATi regions... I do know that the ATi is faster in the high-end range (6800 vs. X800/X850), but in general they're pretty much the same.

I think they did that on mythbusters and said it was 'plausible, but unlikely'... or maybe it was true...

Hey everyone... check out this app... It allows you to easily modify the registry, so you can determine which programs are activated at startup. It has a simple interface, is super-tiny (59KB), and installs in seconds. There are two versions, one which creates a Control Panel Icon, and another that is a standalone application (that one is about half the size). I've had an awesome experience with it, it works perfectly, definitely cutting down on the time needed to boot up my PC (ever since I built it, the boot times have been getting slower... and slower... and slower...). The only problems I've had is sometimes, it looks like the "Disable" function doesn't seem to work, but you can remedy that by simply deleting it. There is also a tab called "trash" from which you can restore any important programs (IE, AV scanners, internet connection progs, etc.) Also, the tabs are a little weird for my liking (it looks like they keep swapping places , but in general, it's one of my new favorite programs =P btw, it's good to be back

I have Windows 2000... Symantec recently released a cleaner (quicker than Microsoft *cough* cough* ) so check it out.

First all, don't repeat your same quotes, it's kind of spam-y The issues tab needs to be done several times no matter what your system. Simply right click, "select all" and run the cleaner. Every single time the list will get less and less. You don't have to do until it reaches 0, though.

This is definitely meant for gaming! You really maxed this thing out random coments ... AMD Athlon, sw33t... Very good choice on the gfx card... there are ways of upgrading the 6800GT to a 6800 Ultra too The 6800 GT is superior to the ATi cards at that same price range... if you wanted to go up to the 6800 Ultra/ ATi X800 then I think the ATi would be the better choice... In general, very high-end machine, only quite expensive when added up?

Most of these don't acutally make your internet faster, it just cuts corners on what stuff to load I believe Tarun has some tweaks, but they are for Firefox only... which browser are you using?
