I'll remove it for the next version, though it doesn't seem to have ravaged anyone's computers (yet) judging by the lack of posts here winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Moderators Nergal Posted October 21, 2012 Moderators Share Posted October 21, 2012 don't get me wrong, it may be safe (can you ask the dev of enhancer in private if he added and knows anything about it, he may have added it). Winapp2.ini
I handle all of the additions and maintenance on the file, and I pull them from emails (both sent to me and to shane), some google docs forms, and a few other places. I don't quite recall where this one came from, but I'll do some research on the cache itself and see if I can turn up anything on its safety. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github

Coffee4Joe
It was two different folders. But I'm not seeing the update\backup folder at all for AVG2013 . Looks like the update backups are stored in the SetupBackup folder now. Edit: I didn't pay much attention to AVG2013 files, was used to 2011 and 2012 all using the same locations but it looks like they moved a few things around tracked them all down they moved the log and temp folders to %LocalAppData% and removed two folders: scanlogs & Emc [AVG AntiVirus 2013*] ID=2313 LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\AVG\AVG2013 Default=True FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\AVG2013\log|*.log FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\AVG2013\temp|*.tmp FileKey3=%CommonAppData%\AVG2013\Log|history.xml FileKey4=%CommonAppData%\AVG2013\SetupBackup|*.* FileKey5=%CommonAppData%\AVG2013\IDS\config|*List.zip.bak FileKey6=%CommonAppData%\AVG2013\IDS\profile|globalLoadable.bak FileKey7=%ProgramFiles%\AVG\AVG2013|updatecomps.bak FileKey8=%ProgramFiles%\AVG\AVG2013|*.old

CSGalloway
hen it might be worth having CCleaner havea way of removing empty folders. Maybe trying to delete a file known not to exist anywhere and use the RECURSE verb
