Winapp2.ini additions

Recommended Posts

With the American patent system the way it is, I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow could claim copyright on all program designs ever used on the windows platform or generated using a microsoft product or API.

Hello,

This is a good idea. I downloaded the file yesterday and ran it with many new options. Today, Mailwasher 2012 is missing all emails downloaded before now. They only display something similar to: The email was empty

account = Acct1963*********

uid = 2fea********************************

file name = C:\Users\****\AppData\Roaming\Firetrust\MailWasher\cache\crypto\2fea179f8*********************************.0001

(asterisks in the event data is sensitive). It has worked well and continually upgraded for years. Please correct or remove this option.

Thank you,

Silicon83

Mail washer shouldn't delete any of your emails

[MailWasher Pro*]
LangSecRef=3022
Detect=HKCU\Software\FireTrust\MailWasher Pro

FileKey1=%AppData%\Firetrust\MailWasher\logs|*.*|RECURSE
FileKey2=%AppData%\Firetrust\MailWasher\cache|*.*|RECURSE
FileKey3=%AppData%\Firetrust\MailWasher|log-*|RECURSE

Logs and Caches, from what it seems.

I'm not sure if there's a problem in Winapp2.ini but after latest update it has removed subscriptions in my Adblock+ in Chromium. After every clean I have to add those again.

I noticed a bug when using the CCEnhancer tool. I have two copies of CCleaner. One is on my PC, but the other is a portable edition on a USB thumbdrive where I have PortableApps loaded.

So, when I run CCEnhancer it goes out and downloads the most recent winapp2.ini and places it into my c:\program files\ccleaner\ folder no problem. But, the same doesn't happen with the portable edition. Under settings I have it pointed to the correct drive letter and folder, but after clicking to update, the portable edition hasn't updated. Any clues? Am I missing something?

Thanks for the help

Well, I'm not entirely sure. There are several other installers included in winapp2 that will delete installers and setup files, but they include a warning that the user should do so at their own risk.

That's true, they are there;though I'm kinda weary of the inclusion of entries that break anything being included in the public file since 95% of users click through all warnings without reading.

Games section, Bugsplat always shows up for me - but I never have installed Bugsplat or any other game. Seems that the detect or detectfile line needs modifing but to what I have no idea.

Here is the export of HKCU\Software\Bugsplat

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat\pandonetworks]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat\pandonetworks\Pando]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat\pandonetworks\Pando\1.6.1.0]

"TotalUptime"=dword:000256ff

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat\pandonetworks\Pando\1.8.1.2]

"TotalUptime"=dword:0000f249

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat\pandonetworks\Pando\1.9.0.1]

"TotalUptime"=dword:00000146

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat\pandonetworks\Pando\1.9.1.0]

"TotalUptime"=dword:00000bc6

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat\pandonetworks\Pando\1.9.5.1]

"TotalUptime"=dword:0000015b

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat\pandonetworks\Pando\2.0.0.4]

"TotalUptime"=dword:00000155

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat\pandonetworks\Pando\2.0.3.0]

"TotalUptime"=dword:000001eb

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat\pandonetworks\Pando\2.1.0.1]

"TotalUptime"=dword:000001b3

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat\pandonetworks\Pando\2.2.1.1]

"TotalUptime"=dword:0000a6ad

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat\Pando_Win]

So it seems I also have had Pando (www.pando.com) installed.

If you played League of Legends or Battlefield 3, they both use Pando and Bugsplat as a result.

I'm certain there are other games that use them, but I only know those two off the top of my head.

but I see you've never had a game installed, so I wonder how you came to have Pando Media Booster installed, as I am not aware of any non-game applications that use it... hmm..

What is Bugsplat used for in those games? Bugsplat could be short for killing software progrsmming bugs but I searched my %programfiles% folder and didn't find a match. Maybe it would be beneficial to have someone who uses those games you mention to export the HKCU\Software\Bugsplat registry tree and compare it with the ne I posted above.

not sure where this one comes from but I can find no proof that cleaning this cache is benificial or prudent. can someone point me to something? or is this a case of searching for cache and adding it to the file :huh:

Not sure myself, what even is the Software Protection Platform?

see that's the thing that location is for Microsoft Genuine Service and activations. It seems to me you would only want it cleaned when there was an issue, not by a junk cleaner like CCleaner.
