So, no more that .ini editing needed for any of them?

CCleaner should support most of them by default, but from my experience it could clean even more. So to clean more look in the winapp2.ini add-on file to see if there's anything in it that may help.

There is a specialised tool for all chromium based browsers:

Yeah but this topic is about CCleaner cleaning Chromium-based browsers, not some other tool unrelated to CCleaner which is why your link has been removed.

Edit:

If you wish to recommend a freeware, etc., software we have a Software area of the forum here:

Are you guys aware of Comodo Dragon

Its another Chromium fork, and similar to SRWare Iron in its purpose ( Security and Privacy, stripping out google )

It already has its own clean out options in advanced settings, and I dont know if CCleaner would be able to do anything additionally, but just thought it worth a note here.

Are you guys aware of Comodo Dragon

Here's what I made months ago and use with Dragon, it is by no means robust but it's safe, it will appear in the Google Chrome area of CCleaner:

[Dragon (lock)*]
LangSecRef=3029
Detect=HKLM\Software\ComodoGroup\Dragon
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\COMODO|*.lock|RECURSE

[Dragon (old)*]
LangSecRef=3029
Detect=HKLM\Software\ComodoGroup\Dragon
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\COMODO|*.old|RECURSE

[Dragon (Extension Cookies)*]
LangSecRef=3029
Detect=HKLM\Software\ComodoGroup\Dragon
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\COMODO\Dragon\User Data\Default|Extension Cookies

[Dragon (Media Cache)*]
LangSecRef=3029
Detect=HKLM\Software\ComodoGroup\Dragon
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\COMODO\Dragon\User Data\Default\Media Cache|*.*|RECURSE

[Dragon (Temp)*]
LangSecRef=3029
Detect=HKLM\Software\ComodoGroup\Dragon
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\COMODO\Dragon\User Data\Default\Temp|*.*|RECURSE

Or, if you prefer all of the above cleaners as one single cleaner:

[Dragon (More)*]
LangSecRef=3029
Detect=HKLM\Software\ComodoGroup\Dragon
Default=False
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\COMODO|*.lock|RECURSE
FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\COMODO|*.old|RECURSE
FileKey3=%LocalAppData%\COMODO\Dragon\User Data\Default|Extension Cookies
FileKey4=%LocalAppData%\COMODO\Dragon\User Data\Default\Media Cache|*.*|RECURSE
FileKey5=%LocalAppData%\COMODO\Dragon\User Data\Default\Temp|*.*|RECURSE

It's still in beta.

Hm. I could have swore I had a stable release. Well then, maybe when it's out of beta. It was in Alpha phase before and it said so in the downloaded installer, but now it just says 1.0.0.1000 with no alpha or beta afterward.

It's built to be a very minimal and fast browser. So there is no support for extensions or themes, no feature to save passwords/login data, etc. It has bookmarks, a bookmarks bar, Clear Private Data, and a few others.

I use a portable version I created in PortableApps.com Format. Runs quite nicely off of my flash drive.

Some Questions And Their Answers

Q1. What is Vivaldi ?and where is it come from?

Ans. Vivaldi is a freeware web browser developed by Vivaldi Technologies, a company founded by Opera Software co-founder and former CEO Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner. The browser is aimed at staunch technologists, heavy Internet users, and previous Opera web browser users disgruntled by Opera's transition from the Presto layout engine to the Blink layout engine.

Q2. How's the update progress work?

Ans. Vivaldi aims to revive the old, popular features of Opera 12 and introduce new, more innovative ones. The browser is updated weekly, in the form of "Snapshots", and has gained popularity since the launch of its first technical preview.On November 3, 2015, Vivaldi Technologies launched the first beta of the Vivaldi web browser and announced that the browser's technical previews have been downloaded more than 2 million times.

Vivaldi features the ability to "stack" and "tile" tabs, annotate web pages, and add notes to bookmarks. Furthermore, users can place digital bookmarks on a "speed dial" page for quick access and harness "quick commands" to search bookmarks, browsing history, open tabs, and settings. Vivaldi is built around and based on web technologies such as HTML5Node.jsReact.js, and numerous NPM modules. Vivaldi also supports numerous mouse gestures for actions like tab switching and keyboard activation. Vivaldi can also be set to a "Chromeless UI", which gives users more screen real-estate and the ability to focus on a single page without distractions.

unlikely to be added while it's still in Beta I would have thought.

Means i will have to wait 5 to 6 months before it gets on the ccleaner list

it could be 10 to 9 months before it gets on the ccleaner list

*********** i cant wait that long
