Oh yeah, I remember that thread. I didn't notice FH's download manager change-over till just recently though.

I hate sneaky. Filehippos' usual green Download Latest Version link may have "includes download manager" underneath in small font. If it does, there's a link directly below the big green link, that leads to a clean install without FH's download manager. Some apps have this manager paired with it, some others don't.

So I can download it to my 8GB USB thingy. Provided that I have Rufus installed. Will Rufus tell me what to do or will I be stranded? Will you be there to hold my hand?

By "iso" I imagine that means you download the file and then burn that file onto a DVD, and then install it from the DVD.....I think...

So they're right back where they started.

In the early 90s I used to reformat on a bi-daily basis. If I did it, you can too.

I turn off my PC every night, yet I see updates performed at 1am, 2am, etc. We're never really "off", are we.

I haven't trusted Softpedia since 1999.
