  1. As you didn’t reply to me previously I will ask the question again: Have you ever had a trial previously? I’m sure you can only trail the software once per email address.
  2. I’m sure some have complained that clean installing Windows doesn’t get the Bluetooth working which is strange as this would remove the drivers, unless of course the driver has somehow broken the Bluetooth module itself. This is a long shot: Start > services.msc Right-click "Bluetooth Support Service." Choose Automatic. Go to device manager and right-click on your computer name and click "Scan for hardware changes" Install the Bluetooth device drivers from the manufacturer's website, if any. Start > services.msc Right-click "Bluetooth Support Service." Choose Automatic. Go to device manager and right-click on your computer name and click "Scan for hardware changes" Install the Bluetooth device drivers from the manufacturer's website, if any. If the BT device isn’t showing under device manager or under show hidden devices then shutdown the pc, unplug the power cable & then reconnect, then go to device manager & see if there’s any unknown devices showing, if so uninstall this & then scan for hardware changes & hopefully Bluetooth will reappear.
  3. If the Uninstaller still doesn’t work after those fixes then you can try Revo Uninstaller free & uninstall it with that. The good thing is that if the Uninstaller still fails you can still scan for leftovers which will force uninstall CCleaner. Then install a fresh download of CCleaner.
  4. Have you ever tried the paid version at any time? It won’t work if you’ve previously had a free trial of Pro.
  5. Free or Pro version? I would also ask if they downloaded via the official website or via a questionable site which is offering the Pro (paid) version for free or much lower cost than officially advertised.
  6. As the problem continued after a factory reset is it possible the Bluetooth module has failed? In the end I has to restore an image of Windows 10 to get the BT/headphones working then upgrade to Windows 11. Took me all day to install all changed & new files & programs since the original upgrade (9 months’ worth).
  7. Usually once you stop skipping & rescan for drivers it should appear. Do you have any other driver update software installed? If yes then perhaps this has updated the driver.
  8. You could try the custom install which will keep personal files (in a windows.old folder). But a clean install is always best in the end. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/120352-custom-install-windows-10-a.html
  9. @Wisewiz Hi. Unless they can boot their pc then an in-place repair cannot be done as this needs to be done with Windows running. It cannot be done within safe mode. If they cannot boot the pc then a custom install is required. This will keep files but not programs/apps.
  10. I’ve just checked the link & the cost is £24.97 so that price must’ve been a bug. Good that you saved a screenshot of those prices. :)
  11. While in safe mode can you access CCleaner or is this one of the programs which won’t open? Can you open device manager? If yes then try rolling back those drivers or if this doesn’t fix the problem installing an older driver. Right click device. Choose update driver. Choose ‘browse my computer for drivers’. Choose ‘let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer’. Choose the compatible hardware from the list, then choose next. Choose one of the older drivers from the list shown, then click next. This will then reinstall the driver. Should this not work then you may have to use safe mode with networking & download those drivers from the PC manufacturer’s website.

    yes

Do you have a specific question? Just writing ‘yes’ doesn’t convey this.
  13. Thanks. It must be a recent update on their part.
  14. Software updater shows an update to Driver Easy which is the same as already installed. I have cleanly uninstalled the software & installed the latest version but problem remains. I’ve contacted support but not received a reply other than the standard ‘here’s some tutorials which may help’. #1101675
  15. problem has been happening for some time for me. I have to choose to skip the update when it happens. Support are less than useless & don’t seem to understand the problem & just point me towards how to block/skip the update.
  16. That’s the same problem I had. Support will first give you instructions on how to skip the drivers.
  17. Now both entries have disappeared so it’s a result. Notification area problem still occurring.
  18. It’s partly fixed as one of the entries disappeared. There’s also still a problem with the icon disappearing from the notification area.
  19. The problem is still occurring yet no reply from support either on this forum or in reply to my emails. I will not be subscribing again & in fact I may enquire about a refund on the current subscription.
  20. Yet again CCleaner’s icon disappears from the notification area every day or two. It seems connected to the automatic check for updates as I’ve turned this off & so far the icon has remained. Yes, the show in on in notification area is on & the program is set to scan every day.
  21. The driver updater is buggy beyond belief. I have reported this to support as I’m offered 2 drivers both of which are older than the ones installed. Dates are older & the driver versions are older so what the updater is basing this information on I can’t see. So far no fix. I suspect this will be the last year I support CCleaner by buying a subscription as support is useless. I have already cancelled the recurring charge.
  22. If you click on learn more it should give you the option to stop skipping the drivers.
  23. Yep, 100% rubbish support. I’ll not be subscribing again.
