  1. That’s why I regularly backup with Macrium Reflect. The driver updater broke my Headphone driver so that it only showed as a headset (mono sound) rather than stereo headphones. Rolling back the driver or using an even older driver didn’t work so had to restore an older image to fix it.
  2. Can you right click on the device under device management & choose roll back driver? If not then try installing an older driver manually: You might have to reinstall an older driver via the device’s entry within device manager if it doesn’t show then check under View>Show hidden devices. Right click device. Choose update driver. Choose ‘browse my computer for drivers’. Choose ‘let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer’. Choose the compatible hardware from the list, then choose next. Choose one of the older drivers from the list shown, then click next. This will then reinstall the driver.
  3. You can check whether your pc is set to download apps from outside the MS store. Settings>Apps>Apps and Features>right at the top of the screen, you’ll see a drop-down menu under Installing apps. There are three choices: Allow apps from anywhere, warn me before installing apps from outside the Store, and Allow apps from the Store only. Choose the option you want (in your case you’ll need allow apps from anywhere or warn me) and close the Settings app. Your changes are saved automatically.
  4. I hope support can reactive the license. When I asked about activating a deactivated key I was firmly told it wasn’t possible so I am interested in their answer. Btw support are currently taking 4 weeks to reply to premium license users - it took them that time to reply to me anyway.
  5. While the key may not work for you it may work for someone else, hence when posting the key/personal information these should be redacted. Have you previously posted the key elsewhere? If so then someone may have used it thus preventing you for using it. Are you signed in with the same account as the key was purchased? If you download the CCleaner premium trial can you then use the key?
  6. There should be a roll back option under the driver updater for any drivers updated, you may need to click on the specific driver to do so. Other wise use device manager to roll back the driver.
  7. You may wish to edit your screenshot to remove the license/activation key otherwise it may be used by dishonest visitors to the site.
  8. DE say they’ll pass it on to their developers. The subscription isn’t worth the cost for me as the driver updater doesn’t find many updates while other software does. DriverMax finds many more. I search for coupons & discounts in order to upgrade otherwise the free version is enough.
  9. Alas there doesn’t seem to be a solution for some users other than clean installing Windows & not allowing CCleaner to update the Bluetooth driver. Does the Bluetooth card show under device manager? If not then check further under View>Show hidden devices. You should be able to roll back the driver using CCleaner or within device manager. You can even install an older driver via device manager.
  10. I reported it to support the last time & it was fixed in that Driver Easy no longer showed that it required updating. It seems that Driver Easy are the ones expected to fix their version numbering to show build versions under the program’s properties.
  11. Same here. I’ve reported it on this forum: https://community.ccleaner.com/topic/64277-software-updater-bug/
  12. That may be the case but last time support fixed this & the program no longer showed under the updater. This is why I’ve reopened the thread in the hope they can do something more permanent.
  13. Reopening this as the problem remains with the newest version. I reported the bug previously & was assured it was fixed.
  14. If a reinstall doesn’t work then download Revo Uninstaller free, if the uninstall still doesn’t work then you can still scan for leftovers which in effect force uninstalls the program. https://www.revouninstaller.com/products/revo-uninstaller-free/
  15. I would expect any disk wiper software for a complete/unrecoverable wipe wouldn’t work while Windows is running but perhaps that only refers to a complete disk wipe. Have you restarted the PC after cleaning/wiping to delete the files completely?
  16. Powershell is Windows 10 while 11 has Terminal rather than command prompt. Cmd prompt works as well. If you scroll down the entries within device manager there may be a USB host controller/USB devices entry. Which Windows version are you using? If 10 or 11 then you can try an in-place repair to fix corrupt Windows. This will keep all apps, files & programs & works the same as a feature update. You’ll have to check for Windows updates afterwards. Download the media creation tool, run this & choose install, go through the options & ensure keep apps & files/keep everything is selected automatically, if not then do not continue. If all is OK then allow the install to complete.
  17. I would try system restore. If no restore points available then try: Right click on start & choose powershell/terminal with admin & type/copy & paste these cmds one at a time then click Enter: SFC /SCANNOW DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth Are there any devices with an exclamation mark beside them under device manager? You may check under the USB section. If you know which drivers updated then you can see if rolling back the drivers helps. This can be done under the driver updater section.
  18. Glad you found it. Didn’t know whether you wanted a screenshot or not.
  19. Due to a review I left on Trustpilot I was asked to contact support using the old url which naturally didn’t work so even support are sending out the old link.
  20. As you didn’t reply to me previously I will ask the question again: Have you ever had a trial previously? I’m sure you can only trail the software once per email address.
  21. I’m sure some have complained that clean installing Windows doesn’t get the Bluetooth working which is strange as this would remove the drivers, unless of course the driver has somehow broken the Bluetooth module itself. This is a long shot: Start > services.msc Right-click "Bluetooth Support Service." Choose Automatic. Go to device manager and right-click on your computer name and click "Scan for hardware changes" Install the Bluetooth device drivers from the manufacturer's website, if any. Start > services.msc Right-click "Bluetooth Support Service." Choose Automatic. Go to device manager and right-click on your computer name and click "Scan for hardware changes" Install the Bluetooth device drivers from the manufacturer's website, if any. If the BT device isn’t showing under device manager or under show hidden devices then shutdown the pc, unplug the power cable & then reconnect, then go to device manager & see if there’s any unknown devices showing, if so uninstall this & then scan for hardware changes & hopefully Bluetooth will reappear.
