  1. Thanks for your reply. I contacted support last week but other than asking for further information I have heard nothing further. I’ve just sent another reply mentioning the problem only seems to occur with MB set as default AV.
  2. Thanks but that was the first thing I tried. I’m suspecting MalwareBytes as I set this as the default AV software. I set Defender back as default & the problem didn’t occur. I’ve now set MB back as default so will see what happens.
  3. This has been reported before but the problem has returned. When Smart clean is enabled the CCleaner icon disappears from the Notification area taskbar. I have to open CCleaner again to return it. To conform this I’ve turned smart clean off & the icon remains. I’ve uninstalled using Revo uninstaller & installed a fresh version but the problem remains. Running the latest version.
  4. Sorry to reopen this thread again but the problem has returned. CCleaner now closes randomly during the day. I can go out & when I return CCleaner icon is missing from the notification area. I’ve even purchased a new Pro subscription thinking that is was the expired one which is messing with the settings or something.
  5. Update: If I choose to tick the setting to ‘Minimise to system tray’ then the icon remains. I’ve never needed to tick this previously.
  6. The previous version of CCleaner seemed to work fine with 20H2. Sorry, I’ll update that.
  7. Windows 10 Pro 20H2. Defender & MalwareBytes Premium. The most recent version of CCleaner: v5.74.8189 When I close the browser it shows cleaning then the icon will close. It is also happening when an scheduled clean is run. I disabled smart clean but the problem remains when the scheduled scan is run. Yes I can open the program to return the icon to the taskbar but it disappears again when automatic browser cleaning happens after closing the browser.
  8. Running latest version of CCleaner pro & found a problem (potential bug?) with Smart Cleaning & the taskbar icon. I have a disappearing CCleaner icon which disappears after an automatic clean. If I turn off smart cleaning then the icon remains. Auto update is on. From what I’ve read if one or both of these are on then the icon will remain in the taskbar: If off then the icon disappears. Minimise to taskbar after cleaning is off. Is this a bug or a new feature? Thanks, Virginia.
  9. If I see any ‘sale’ discount on the basis of cash back I avoid it. Too often the cash back doesn’t appear after claiming, the offer is withdrawn after claiming or the cash back isn’t what was offered in the advertisement. Just my 2 Pence worth.
  10. I have a disappearing icon which disappears after an automatic clean. If I turn off smart cleaning then the icon remains. Auto update is on. From what I’ve read if both of these are on then the icon will remain: If off then the icon disappears from the taskbar.
  11. Same for me. I've installed a fresh version of CCleaner & it is the same..
  12. Same for me, I’ve had CCleaner for years & technically it’s been expired for the majority of those years but it’s still updating to the latest version & showing that it’s the Pro version. I’ve even clean installed Windows & it still worked after entering the license details. When I purchased CCleaner the license wasn’t a subscription but the yearly cost upgrade was purely to continue to receive official support, this I didn’t require so didn’t purchase. I believe those who state they have a lifetime license have the same as I. Yes there’s no mention of a subscription in the purchase confirmation but the software continues to work well & there’s pop ups asking to purchase but these can be ignored.
  13. I’m reposting this here due to lack of reply on my other thread: CCleaner Pro, program updates states Paint Shop pro 2019 has an update but when I try to install it state the program is up-to date. Corel site has no updates listed with that version number.
  14. No reply? No update on whether this is a bug or not? Poor!
  15. When you run CCleaner do you have it set to clean cookies? If so some of these cookies are for saved passwords so by cleaning them you’ll lose those passwords.
  16. CCleaner Pro, program updates states Paint Shop pro 2019 has an update but when I try to install it state the program is up-to date. Corel site has no updates listed with that version number. Seems the software isn’t working well or file hippo is making it’s own versions to imply there’s a new version.
  17. The license is only for a year now for new purchases, there’s a major discussion of this on another thread where users with older licenses are receiving an expired message: Mine states it has expired but continues to work with all the Pro features, I purchased what was listed as a lifetime license, support was for 1 year & it is this which has expired.
  18. Automatic updates work sometimes for me. I manually check too.
  19. I noticed the same with the email - nowhere does it say it’s a subscription. I still have my original license which is (supposedly) lifetime but although it states expired it still has all pro features available.
  20. I’ve been awaiting the chance to change my CCleaner issued password to something more secure for a long time. It seems strange that this feature is not available when every other forum & site has the ability to do that.

    Please help...

This used to work but on mine it hasn’t for some time, if you have another program open at the time & close Edge then the pop-up does appear. It should be enabled within settings, look for clean with notification.
