  1. I didn't even know this existed. I will see what I can do.
  2. You could add another 512MB RAM easily. Also, I doubt you would even have to move around the RAM. Just try putting the 512MB in the secondary slot, if PC doesn't boot up then move around the RAM. It's real easy to do and you shouldn't have any problems adding a 512 stick.
  3. Yea, it was reported early this morning. It's the NSIS setup, it has a habit of popping up as a false positive from time to time.
  4. It only gets down to the high 50's here in Arizona. The last couple of days it's been chilly of a morning, but the afternoons have been really nice. I love it!
  5. All files are overwritten, it just doesn't change the registry settings for it.
  6. Just install over the old version and your settings won't change.
  7. They all have their ups and downs. I have... Adware SE Personal Spyware Doctor (Regged) Spybot - S&D I don't use any real-time protection. I just don't see any need in it. I do have a modified HOST file though, that's always a good idea. The only one I have ever used is Spybot - S&D, but only once. Common sense is a good thing to use, so I never really get to use any of them. But, it's always better to be safe than sorry.
  8. CCleaner works with FF 2 and IE 7. CCleaner will save cookies for both. Just uncheck Delete Index.dat files if you save IE 7 cookies. CCleaner is the only program that cleans the most programs I know of. Check out winapp2.ini in my sig. Add /AUTO to the command-line parameter and it will clean in stealth mode.
  9. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Opera Software HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Mozilla Firefox HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Mozilla Firefox 2.0
  10. Hey arizonabay, I don't mean to sound rude or anything. At the time we really didn't know what to suggest, I have been around for a while now, and we have had only a small number (around 4 or 5) with this problem. We didn't know what caused the problem or how to recreate it. There are so many different PC configurations and settings, almost everyone's is different. I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to PC's and Windows, but I never would have guessed the environment variables (it's one of them things, no one ever touches, or even really knows about). I'm just glad the problem was found and how to fix it. I know what it's like to get stuff deleted. I have crashed XP a few times (didn't know how) I had to reformat, I had important work related material on it. Like, I always tell myself. "You can only learn from your mistakes and move on." I am sorry for the trouble you went through and no one could help you. We do care, it's just we didn't know what to do.
  11. Some applications will leave registry entries after you uninstall them. You will have to delete them entries in regedit for it to not show up in CCleaner.
  12. http://www.filehippo.com/download_dotnet_framework_3/ I just downloaded 2.0 about a week ago.
  13. You can have it clean all the files with an extension in a folder, but that is. It won't scan your hard drive for certain file extensions. Which is why I like CCleaner, you can run into problems just wanting to clean certain file extensions. That's one of the reason's why CCleaner is so safe.
  14. I can confirm, this is 100% working! Good job!
  15. Don't worry, rr made sure MrG would see this.
  16. I can confirm this. Details -------- Environment Variables User variables for (YOUR ACCOUNT) TEMP %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp TMP %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp Not having these will not affect CCleaner and the cleaning of your PC in anyway. System variables TEMP %SystemRoot%\TEMP TMP %SystemRoot%\TEMP Not having these will affect CCleaner and the cleaning of your PC. It will delete the following: Everything in Application Data Folder Everything in Local Settings Desktop Icons Favorites My Documents NTUSER files (.bak, .ini, .tmp.LOG) Everything in SendTo Everything in Start Menu\Programs\Accessories (Shortcuts) Everything in Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\Accessibility (Shortcuts) Everything in Start Menu\Programs\ Everything in Templates folder Everything in User Data This is all for the User Account and will not affect other Accounts or stuff that is set to All User Profiles.
  17. It's released everywhere now, except Mozilla site.
  18. CCleaner cleans the basic/harmless registry entries. It's good to use a registry cleaner, but you always want to look over every entry before you delete it. For the average user, the CCleaner registry cleaner, will do just fine.
  19. http://www.filehippo.com/download_firefox/ I guess it's official now!
  20. Bandwidth is the main problem. It would require way too much.
  21. It is made by the same people. It's using the UT 2007 engine, and the release date is Nov. 21st I believe.
  22. Look at what I got: Tonight is Gears of War night @ EB Games. They will be giving them away in contests, and they will also be available to buy Nov. 21st.
  23. Ok, ever American alive should go see that movie. Even if you are not American, it's the best war movie I have ever seen. Seriously, this is a movie is a masterpeice!

    IE 7

No, I got it off of fileforum earlier today. They were offering IE 7 Yahoo! optimized (only version at the time). It had the Yahoo toolbar, Yahoo set as home page, and Windows Internet Explorer provided by Yahoo! as the title. So, I just uninstalled the Yahoo! toolbar and changed the main title.
