  1. I'll install them on my test PC this afternoon and see what I can do.

After examing the cookie, here goes... CCleaner.com cookie has been removed, forum.CCleaner.com should be the only one appearing now. I don't know if this is a forum setting or not. But the password part of the cookie, expires 7 days after the time you logged in. That's probably why it's only happening ever now and then.
  3. I doubt I will switch to Vista for awhile, since we will see a few more SP's for XP. Anyways, my laptop says it's Vista Capable. Sure it is.... It doesn't support the sound card, and a few other devices.
  4. Can you take a screenshot of the Issues in question. We will need to read the full path.
  5. Updated Beginner's Guide to reflect v1.01.021 (BETA).
  6. This utility, which has the most comprehensive knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs are configured to run during system bootup or login, and shows you the entries in the order Windows processes them. These programs include ones in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other Registry keys. You can configure Autoruns to show other locations, including Explorer shell extensions, toolbars, browser helper objects, Winlogon notifications, auto-start services, and much more. Autoruns goes way beyond the MSConfig utility bundled with Windows Me and XP. This is made by Sysinternals. Download: AutoRuns

I have had it only happen once. I talked to MrG a few days ago about it, he said he changed another setting on the cookie management.
  8. Here is the only catch with recovering files. Not many know or think about it... Don't delete anymore files or restart your PC. When you do that, it will override the files have deleted awhile back, and maybe come unrecoverable.
  9. Why not all Hotfix Uninstallers are being deleted. Quoting MrG:
  10. http://www.utdallas.edu/~jbs024000/article...plorer_spy.html
  11. I removed them, currently CCleaner doesn't remove all the hotfixes. Hopefully this will be fixed in a upcoming release.
  12. The Recuva website is still being worked on and as far as I know. No, Recuva will not have it's own separate forum. There is a plan to do something else, but it is undecided at the moment.
  13. Also, if you sent it to web based email addresses (hotmail, yahoo, etc). They may not longer use that email address, they will put the account on hold (can't access it, unless you sign up again), but email will still be delivered.
  14. #1. This isn't a CCleaner thread. #2. More than likely it's a buffer overflow and is causing the program to crash. This should be able to fix easily (I think). I will see if I can reproduce this error, but I don't I can delete 70,000 files or so.
  15. I would crash to, if I found that many files. You need to run Eraser on them drives and free up some free space.
  16. CCleaner doesn't clean all the Hotfix Uninstallers, due to problems some people were having. I know the WMP11 was beta and MrG had it not to delete it, I will look into to it, and see if they need to be deleted or it.
  17. I know it will be added, just the question is when. I don't think CCleaner is going to the max with cleaning Vista until it's out to the public and alot of people have it.
  18. I was looking for a nice little firewall. I'm using it only by your recommendation.
  19. I don't really know what would cause Hot Sync not to work. I use to have a PDA a few years ago and I don't see what CCleaner would have to do with it. Don't forget about the CCleaner Beginner's Guide (link in sig).
  20. I reported the forum problems to MrG. We will see what happens.
  21. It's not 1 year yet. I don't know if anything can be done, CCleaner is programmed to work with themes. It could be a problem with the theme. I will personally look at the matter and see if anything can be done.
  22. Yes, I get that too. I don't think the database has been optimized for the new version or something.
