  1. CCleaner only supports cleaning of the drive it is running on.
  2. I can reproduce this on my test PC. The beta still does not fix the issue.
  3. Some java stuff does require cache. I would uncheck it, if you play java games alot.
  4. Just to clear things up. Recent Documents will clear all of My Recent Documents. User Assist History will clear recent programs from the Start Menu.
  5. Post your September Desktop. If you need to someone to host the image, I recommend ImageShack.
  6. Make sure these 2 don't exist. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\CCleaner Program Files\CCleaner If either does, delete them.

  10. Ok, I'm going to get into this now... 360 is going to be on top. Why? PS3 keeps pushing it's dates back, plus all the 360 blockbuster hits are going to be released this thanksgiving and christmas holiday. About the time PS3 releases, it better release some blockbuster hits when it's released or it will fall hard. The price, is another hit. I would think Microsoft will either lower the price of the 360 or come out with a special edition during the PS3 release. Microsoft has the edge, because they started the market early, they knew there would be some problems by rushing the release of the 360, but would have them ironed out in time. Alot of developers are going to the 360 and now there are more and more Xbox only releases. Metal Gear Solid and KillZone is the only thing going for Sony right now. I just wish Metroid would go to Microsoft platform!

  13. FYI: I just added the CCleaner logo as a favicon on the Beginner's Guide.
  14. Woohoo, my guide made it in...
  15. The CCleaner Registry Cleaner isn't perceft (non is), but it's the best cleaner I have used. It's not aggressive at all (it looks just for the basic errors).
  16. I don't care if CCleaner ever supports System Restore or not. System Restore is a major app. and it needs to be used wisely.
  17. That's a pretty sweet guide, doesn't go much into CCleaner. My Beginner's Guide is better, but it only deals with CCleaner too.
  18. Don't leave Advanced checked. Only run it, once in a blue moon.
  19. I'll have a look and see what I can come up with.
  20. SQL can be a pain sometimes. It happens on almost every site I know. Usually SQL is the first to go, it needs to be restarted every now and then.
  21. Backup this: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\CCleaner\Options You can install over any previous installation and you will not lose any settings.
  22. Copied straight from the Beginner's Guide. I recommend downloading it. Check the links in my sig.
  23. I remove them, because I don't plan on uninstalling hotfixes. But I don't have IE 7 or WMP 11 beta either.
  24. I think that's what I am for. I send him pms about important matters, suggestions, fixes, and so on. We all play a part in this. He actually listens to me too.
