  1. Western Digital DLG Diagnostics description The Diagnostics utility allows you to test the drive, print results for last drive tested, repair errors found during the Test Drive option and write zeros to the drive. Has anyone used this before? And if so, what do you think about it? http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Hard-D...agnostics.shtml

    Hi

    Hello and Welcome!
  6. @ leritz You could answer a lot of questions by posting a HJT log. http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=1720
  7. Everyday my answer will probably be different. But as of today I would have to say Live Phish - 19, 7.12.91: Colonial Theatre, Keene, New Hampshire.
  8. I've only used UltraISO and I've never had a problem with it, but tomorrow I have to create another Windows Installation CD so I'll give burnatonce a shot and see how it works. Thanks for the reference!
  9. Ditto to all of the above. The reason that there isn't information on this topic other than prefetch data is because no one else has had this problem, or if they did the prefetch was the problem. CCleaner is very specific in what it does. And the only 2 likely causes for such a problem would be registry and prefetch. Something else is going on I think. And either way it sounds sucky.
  10. When you click on a file that you want to recover...the recover button on the bottom right becomes available to click. So click the box next to the file that you want to recover than click recover on the bottom right of the screen. Is that the question?
  11. Upgrade your RAM. That will solve your problem. Memory Upgrade I can't agree that CCleaner is the cause of your slow down issue. If you upgrade your memory you should be fine. The only thing that CCleaner could do to slow down your programs is clear the prefetch data unless you're cleaning things in the registry that shouldn't be cleaned. I have run CCleaner on 98SE, 2000, and XP machines for over 1 year and I've never had anything but optimized performance. It is clear that you don't have enough RAM for speed. And hardly enough RAM to run more than one program at a time. Upgrading your RAM is cheap and will be well worth your time. Good Luck!

  15. Hello, I'm sure that your previous post was not removed due to such a question. Are you using the default settings of CCleaner? If not, what are all of your settings?
