  1. lol CCleaner didnt do anything about it. anyways problem is solved. i just right clicked it and clicked Remove. i never knew i could do that so...
  2. it's Macromedia Dreamweaver i dled the trial to try it out and then uninstalled it. but the FTP BS still remained there
  3. yeah i guess i should. also i just installed AVG and when i started up the comp, the memory usage went back down to 221MB which is quite incredible. edit:also yeah uTorrent is so far the best client i've ever used. i've only used Azureus, ABC, Rufus, and uTorrent. out of all of those, uTorrent wins because of the cleanest GUI, hardly any memory usage, fast loading, and it also has DHT . also the uTorrent team is making a Web Interface. i've seen screenshots and it looks pretty sweet.
  4. i'll post my TaskManager a lot of programs seem to use a lot of memory. recently, i've installed EZ AntiVirus and that too a lot of memory. now im trying Avast and it has about the same memory usage. i need to try AVG when i can.
  5. freetranslation.com cant translate that . also i think it's supposed to be "Willkommen zu der CCleaner-forumen" but then again what do i know
  6. well it still can kill your computer because right now, all my processes use more than half of my comp's memory. using firefox with that functionallity is gonna make Windows panic and enable Virtual Memory(which means slower browsing) edit:i have 512MB of RAM
  7. hmm. i was positive that some mouse gesture functionallity existed in Firefox. oh well
  8. so how long does it take for Firefox to accually load. or do you keep it in memory 24/7?
  9. is that a media player or the background? as for mine, here uses the Vista Inspirat Pack which comes with the style, icons, wallpaper(not this one), ObjectDock(version 1.11 which runs faster than 2.0), and Y'z Toolbar. also have TaskSwitchXP and foobar2000 playing a nice song.
  10. i dont think he knows German @chia: Welcome
  11. the more extensions you add, the slower firefox becomes. i know since i used to have about 28 on it and the load time on it killed it. it just did. not even Firefox Preloader did anything to improve the load time. in other words, a minimum of 5 or 10 extensiobs should be all you need. im also willing to bet that tsepha hardly uses all of his extensions
  12. mouse gestures doesnt come from an extension. it comes from Firefox itself. im not using firefox so i cant help you with that
  13. let's see. it has a crap interface(not bad if used on Vista but on XP...), cant move the menubar(even if Lock toolbars is unchecked), crap rendering, has vulnerabilities, and yeah.
  14. 1st problem: that's a feature called Mouse Gestures. i think you can disable it. 2nd problem: somewhere is the about:config menu. probably under "bookmarks."
  15. psst. word of advice. dont have a lot of tabs open because that will make Firefox's Memory usage jump to over 50k(Mozilla says that this is a feature, but it's quite stupid to keep all the tabs in memory)
  16. what the hell does FTL mean when you use it. i used Wikipedia to look for it and found "Faster Than Light" edit:nvm. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Internet_slang#F
  17. the problem is not finding the file you want, it's just the people that share it. when you want someone to let you dl a file, it takes a few minutes or even hours for someone to start. that's why it sucks so much.
  18. who even uses eMule these days. i tried dling the K-Lite Mega codec pack on eMule(i try to dl the file-sharing way instead of using up a site's bandwidth) and it didnt work. it only works for me on BitTorrent.
  19. in what way does eMule relate to this topic?
  20. i just installed it and from the looks of it, it was made to run on Windows Vista because of the Interface. IE7 Beta 2 Preview is the same.
  21. i don't think that you're supposed to talk about piracy
  22. Airplane!! would be the best movie ever made edit:IPB sucks horseshit for removing the ! that i had put in the link.
  23. since we're all posting memory usage, here's mine. looks like memory usage is a little high
  24. ummm, im asking for a way to change the boot screen. i've already uninstalled it 2 times and both of those times it has not worked. the only way to get rid of it when you change the boot screen is to boot into safe mode. so hows about changing the boot screen.
