  1. yeah im still using it. it works great. of course it would be better if the nagging registration screen wouldnt appear every time i start up my comp.
  2. i stumbled upon a few Cursors for windows yesterday and i was wondering if there was any way to change the one that windows uses. is there any way?
  3. scared? not really. in fact i really like this skin. right now im using a skin for Opera that makes everything black. since Luna Element had no black, i had to search for another one and stuck with a Vista Theme. but now that it's nice and black, i'm all good
  4. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/28246317/ does anyone like this theme? i just recently downloaded it and it goes really nice with my Opera skin right now.
  5. there's a program called Autoruns available at http://www.sysinternals.com which practically looks like an updated version of this program(i dont think it is but it looks about the same). it also lets you do other stuff besides changing startup such as Explorer DLLs, services, etc...
  6. nope. the version of ZA that i used is the same one. the only version of ZA that i loved using was 5.5.94. i used that one for a long time untill it stopped saving the changes to the program permissions. right now im trying out Sygate's firewall and it seems to work very well for the moment.
  7. ZoneAlarm is just an unstable firewall which doesnt allow data to be sent through the internet if the TrueVector Service crashes(happens a lot) Kerio causes problems with uTorrent and DC++. it doesnt let uTorrent log on to DHT and it doesnt let me Search with DC++. as for your suggestions, the first one is crap. i used it once and didnt like it. also the last time it was updated was for win98 or 2000(i can't remember which) as for sygate, wasn't that firewall bought by Symantec last year?
  8. i really need a new firewall that accually works. so far i tried ZoneAlarm(both free and pro) and Sunbelt Kerio and so far both of em really piss me off. so any other good free ones?
  9. im looking for a program that can rip dvds to a Matroska or OGM file. does anyone know of any free program that can do this?
  10. Media Player Classic with ffdshow(have to config it first)
  11. after you install it, use Media Player Classic(comes with the pack) and go to File > Open DVD
  12. you could also wire up your tv to your comp so you can play the file on the comp, fullscreen it, and let it play on the tv. but this is a horrible suggestion so dont do it unless you want to or unless your comp doesnt support it.
  13. why in the world would people think that Winamp has memory issues? i've been using Winamp Lite for quite a long time(with Dynamic library and some playback plugins) and it has not caused me one problem. not one.
  14. it's practically the same thing. the interface is ugly because it is a GTK Interface.
  15. i dont like the gimp. the interface is too ugly for my eyes.
  16. you can play it with the Lite version if you can grab in_wm.dll from some website
  17. Does anyone know of a free program that can do GIF Animations?
  18. There's a plugin for firefox called PDF Download which transforms a PDF File to HTML and then displays it. quite nice.
  19. it's very easy to remove from the PC. there's a folder that contains every activex control somewhere. IE also has a built-in tool to see every activex control installed. also gives an option to remove. @The topic. i think it should be renamed to, "What is Microsoft doing" because we all know that IE is just a program that has no life.
  20. so they're permenantly deleted? if that's the case, then there's no way to get them back. even if you made a backup of your registry, that doesnt do anything.
  21. accually i have done that and it still bugs me when a program executes another. like i said, it doesnt matter whether it uses the internet or not. for now im just gonna use ZoneAlarm not matter how unstable or crappy it is
