  3. Edge settings to change: startup boost, run in background. This should stop edge from running at startup and residing in the background. Turning these off should stop ccleaner from saying it's running
  4. Sounds like something is running edge. Do you have any windows store apps (like facebook for instance which i know run edge because ccleaner cleans it when i close facebook). It also sounds like you told ccleaner not to show the warning that edge is open, this dialog allows you to close edge, if the warning is hidden ccleaner will skip the browser if it's deemed to be open. In edge make sure startup boost and run in the background are disabled as they will keep edge running too.
  5. Do you have a second drive? You shouldn't be able to recover to the drive you recover from as data would become overwritten. If you have to get a cheap drive with the space you need recover there and (after testing the files, as recovery does not equate with working file) copy them back to the original drive
  6. Dark mode on forum is part of the forum software and not programmed by ccleaner developers.
  7. You can indeed install (the free version) and put your subscription info in and have pro back
  8. 1 year 29.95 année 29,95
  9. Email support@ccleaner.com from the email address you registered ccleaner with.
  10. Please email support@ccleaner.com and they can get you sorted. Preferably send the email from the email you registered with, if not possible include it in the body of the email
  11. No it'll scan the whole drive and it will take a large amount of time.
  12. Still cleans stuff like outlook office edition and legacy apps that use those areas to store things like settings
  13. Can't do, even the act of turning off and on writes data to the drive, making the results gained in recuva different
  14. Not a bug, deleting empty databases which recreate themselves after

    Question

Please keep questions to one thread as not to get divergent answers.
  16. No because the notion of a folder does not exist at the recovery cluster level
  17. There is no difference between pro and free when it comes to recovery
  18. Do you have any firefox clone browsers? Which browser do you use? Could firefox have been installed by another user?
  19. And at this point we'll have to close this thread as we're unable to provide legal advice. Good luck to your "friend" but they can go deeper a recover what's gone. As i said infinite time infinite money anything is recoverable.
  20. While nothing is unrecoverable given unlimited time and money, ccleaner can be set to securely (multiple passes) delete data. Using it is not, in and of itself, suspicious.
  21. Which isn't much of a thing in 2022, but yes if you can otherwise mount the memory then it can be recuvad
