    WMP9

WMP 9 sucks, and so does WMP 10. It is so full of crap everywhere. I think that old WMP 6.4 is the best.
  2. Just a PR trick. Might aswell get Mozilla Firefox which you can get for free any day, any time...
  3. Easier and not too much more expensive to just buy a new printer. Also unless you print out photos, you might consider a Laser printer, they're a little more expensive, but worth it in the long run I think.
  4. Well, I dont think we need any more moderation, it's so annoying with forums which are strictly moderated in facist ways. However, I do agree that some moderation is nescesary, so it doesnt get out of hand...
  5. I think it is annoying to see peoples huge signatures. I came to read the content of the post, not see see peoples huge graphical signatures. They also waste bandwidth... And as for animated GIF's, they're the devil!
  6. See the Wikipedia article about P2P, it contains alot of information and a list of networks and clients. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peer-to-peer DC++ and BitTorrent are what I use...
  7. Norton does the most crappy products ever, many people agreed on this earlier. What is funny about Norton products is that for every new version it only gets worse and worse. And as for Norton Antivirus, it takes up far too many resources.
  8. You should give Miranda IM another try, I dont get it how you dont get it to work, its very simple. http://gaim.sourceforge.net/ Gaim supposedly is very good too. http://gaim.sourceforge.net/
  9. Nice styled desktop and nice wallpaper. Didnt knew that PeerGuardian could block worms...
  10. I searched for Linux and got an offer to buy Windows XP! They have CCleaner! http://www.windowsmarketplace.com/prices.a...&stext=CCleaner
  11. They have ClamWin Antivirus there too I noticed. Really strange that Microsoft have software like that on their site. Also have the Gimp. Firefox, Clam, GIMP okay thats +3 karms points to Microsoft. They're still got more minus than plus points though.
  12. I think MediaPortal would be a better choice than GB-PVR. Now if you only had a slimmed HTPC computer connected to that TV in the living room.
  13. Well it seems they did nothing else than made an application with a similiar purpose and a almost identical user interface. But I suppose no code or graphics are really stolen from CCleaner.
  14. I remember my UIN for ICQ too, havent touched ICQ in forever and not planning to so either.

    vlc

Besure that you are using the very latest version. Link: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ VLC is a cross-platform open-source media player that can play pretty much anything.
  16. Google Talk is in beta, it does not connect to the other Jabber servers yet, but in the future it is likely that it will. And as for Gmail it is awesome. 2,5 gigabyte space per account. * No popups, no graphical, animated or flash banners, just text ads. * You can "starr" important messages and find them easy. * Can search for your mails and archive them. * Can retrieve mail via Atom XML feeds. * Does not collect 100 different personal information like other mail services. *cough* Hotmail *cough* * Does not try to force/trick you into signing up for newsletters unlike other mail services *cough* Hotmail *cough* * Has anti spam filter and you can target mails like newsletters, etc into labels.
  17. I think that it should work. Maybe you can explain what the error says? I think you maybe need put the VB (Visual Basic) runtimes on the USB too.
  18. Because if they give it, then people have one less reason to "upgrade" to Windows Vista, and if they dont buy Windows Vista, which means less money.

You should probably spend more time evaulating the software before you decide to buy it since you yet havent figured out how to use it correctly. (No offence intended) You payed for software that doesnt even come with documentation?
  20. Google released Google Talk, and Instant Messenging service featuring chat and voice. Google Talk I guess it is in beta now. It uses Jabber technology. I think that in future there will be Linux and Mac OS X client and encryption and links to the other non-Google Jabber servers. Sounds promising. It recently got released, I wonder if this will be the next big IM. You can either connect to it by using Google Talk client, or you can use any Jabber-compatible client such as Miranda IM, GAIM, Kopete, Adium, Trillian, etc.
  21. They got hacked again? Last time they got hacked, you could download mp3 files from their site.
  22. Anyone know why they closed the site? There probably are alternatives, and if not there probably will sooner or later.
  23. I use the firewall in Windows XP SP2. You probably dont need something to block outgoing connections if you dont run things you dont know.
