  1. I don't have experience with Client Security.Does it also run in the background analyzing everything coming in like Windows Defender does.If so you probably will get tired of responding to both softwares. My experiece with Windows Defender was OK except I only have 256MB of RAM so it slowed down my computer.Otherwise, what's the harm.I am sure we will have some more good input from other members.
  2. It's the FORCE LUKE!! Make yourself Happy.Someone else needs to read those books you have accumulated. Pass them on and restore the balance of the Universe!!! A certain Lady will be Happy also. Your solution is forth coming!!!

    Fearless mouse

Hi Guys, You remind me of the good old days. Had 3 kids. They wanted a dog.So did I. Got a great Pointer pup.The kids mothered him. Two years later we got a baby rabbit. The Pointer mothered her. Awhile later we got a kitten. The rabbit mothered her. They all played and protected each other!!! They loved to play Tag and Hide and Seek. They all ate the same dried dog food from the same bowl wihth specific treats in between for each. The kids weren't so agreeable as the other members of our fun household. We all loved each other and still do.Sadly, the animals are all gone to Animal Heaven. They surely left behind some wonderful memories. I support genetic research but don't want to see it go so far as modifying an animals natural behaviors or humans for that matter.
  4. Of course ,you are not going to run them both at the same time.Windows Defender uses up quite a few MB and conflicts with other security programs.Resulting in a a slow computer. This happened to me personally. I have no experience with F-Secure. I do like AVG!Good Luck!!
  5. Hi DennisD, Absolutely no offence taken. Thats why I emphasized NEWBIE . No I don"t know about "Image hosting" and little about image handling at all. I will be contacting you. Thanks for the offer, davey
  6. You are really keeping me busy today and vice-versa.Gonna be reading and fiddling with these super looking links. Both of them.See you later
  7. Please tell me or link me to info on how to provide those "shrunken" pictures of or snapshots of the CCleaner window etc. so I and others can provide more info when problem reporting.Of course this will be of great benefit in other ways. Thanks, NEWBIE davey.
  8. Thank you also YoKenny. I'll check it out. davey.
  9. Thanks for the update notice, I've got it installed and protecting my system! YEAH, THANKS HERE ALSO. Thanks also to whomever posted about the Hosts File and a link to MVPS and I used it. Never realized how many search sites pass you off to a "Data warehouse" and then they finally connect you with the site you thought you were linking to. YOU fill in all this search information, they dont have it and then they pass you off to the "bean counters". Then you have to fill in the info all over again. What a waste of our time so they can make money from the info. The big Retailers better wise up. It's giving them a bad reputation!!! Plus the benefit of avoiding viruses !!! and all those junky flashing ads. THANKS AGAIN

    Alcohol Abuse

Those cups are almost as big as my coffee mug!!!!
  11. You are 100% right on, Hazelnut. Take it from a 90% NEWBIE, who went through all the mistakes! EDITED 12/15/2007 THIS IS THE BEST ADVICE I"VE SEEN ALL WEEK. NEEDS TO BE PUT IN BIG BLOCK LETTERS IN CLEANER OPTIONS LIST!!!! ADVANCED SECTION - DO NOT USE UNLESS OTHER PEOPLE CONSIDER YOU A "100 ADVANCED USER". Other people might rate me a 95-98% NEWBIE.
  12. Yeah, that bear was lucky too!!! And speaking of Aston Martins. His name was "BEAR". "JAMES BEAR 007".
  13. Hi hklcf, From what I can tell this problem is being looked into. Pleave leave another post . Describe what OS,browser etc. that you are using. Also explain what options you are using. This info is important in tracking down the problem. I am just a member of the forum but I know the programming team needs this info. You may want to Start a New Topic under this forum topics. This thread is far out of view from the other Bug Reporting topics. davey
  14. Hi Guys, WOW!!!!! Sure makes it feel like Christmas season. Thanks, davey
  15. Hello Javierr88, Don' t forget to UNCHECK User Assist History. You must have all of these options NOT checked . I also noticed that JDPower said in Post #2 "CCleaner only cleans what is listed in the start menu and recent docs, they should start filling up again automatically (after an initial restart)." You may have to restart before this starts working again. Sorry it takes so long to reply but I type "HUNT & PECK" method. I don't mess with REGISTRY KEYS.Hope I never have to do it.I'm too much of a NEWBIE to PC's. Good Luck!!!
  16. Hi again elic, I am confused!! You say that you have checked these options. What we are telling you is to "NOT" check these options. CHECK marking these items means you want these items deleted. Remove the check mark and these items should start filling up again!!! I have NO ADVANCED options selected. I am using v2.03.532. win xp sp2 all msi updates. desktop. I hope this cures your problem.
  17. Hello, It is best to keep threads in the proper forum.Copy your post and put it in the SOFTWARE forum. That way all intersted in software problems and solutions will benefit. You will also get faster response that way. Thanks for your co-operation. .

    Alcohol Abuse

Same thing for me 21 years ago!Alcohol affects the Decision Control center in my brain like all other ALCOHOLICS.I don"t take that first drink, then I'm in control. At one time I was like W.C.fields. QUIT DRINKING!!! NO PROBLEM, I DO IT EVERY NIGHT BEFORE I GO TO BED!!! Thank God that's over with. CONGRATS to you "1984"
  19. Hi, elic. Also if you don't want CCleaner to clean out your Recent Documents make sure it is not checked under Windows Explorer options for Cleaner function.
  20. Thanks for following up with your post. This helps us NEWBIES learn how to handle some of these problems ourselves. Gee I never accidentally clicked on something I shouldn't have. Thanks again, DAVE
  21. THANKS VIC!!! You helped answer a question I had about this prpblem. I'm new using CCleaner and I was not sure it was a problem or not. I untcked Desktop Shortcuts and Start Menu Shortcuts until I found out. I second your post and from what I have seen it wont be long until the bug is fixed. Forgot to mention that I am using XP SP2 also ie7.When I had the problem I was using v2.02.527. Not sure if v2.03.532 has problem. Dont want to try it out and lose all my Shortcuts. I still have many invalid Shortcuts in my Registry.
  22. When you say QUICK LAUNCH do you mean your Start Menu items ??? If this is what you mean then make sure that "USER ASSIST HISTORY" is NOT checked in the ADVANCED options list. I did the same thing the first time I used CCleaner
  23. Having a Roaming profile may have alot to do with it but I'll defer to the EXPERTS.Good Luck!
