  1. For me they arein v2.20.920 but not previous versions. Until the next release I'll just uncheck cookies in the cleaner section.
  2. Im having the same problem with CC deleting my cookies to save.
  3. You can try clicking on Start, Run then type regedit Click on and the registry editor should open. From there click the file menu and import. Then browse to the location of your registry backup and click the open button in the dialog. Im not sure though that will solve your activation issue. CC should not have removed any registry keys relating to activation. System restore might be another option for you. Aside from activating again.
  4. They look like temp files from a scan. Im not sure why though you selected a few (in bold) while ignoring others. ie Hijackers.sbi, Adware.sbi etc. Possibly I misunderstood your question.
  5. If your using Windows Task Sceduler on XP then you are being prompted for the admin password. If your using a standard user account, then it would be the admin password you chose durring the initial setup. If your user account is an admin account, the nit would be your password you use to logon to Windows.
  6. Your most welcome! Sadly... My knowledge comes from many days and nights behind this keyboard. No need to adjust your security. I just need another hobby is all. Actually I read some of the documentation of the program and used a search to gather more info. But it sounds like your pretty much set. The registry path (should you need it in the future) for v6.x would simply be: HKCU\Software\Pablo Software Solutions\WYSIWYG Web Builder 6\Settings\PublishLocations
  7. Love the first idea. Would that mean that we could browse and select an executable, bat, vbs etc file to run? That would be great!
  8. So far I came across this registry key which holds all of your publiched locations (open and save) HKCU\Software\Pablo Software Solutions\WYSIWYG Web Builder 5\Settings\PublishLocations It can be added to a WinApp2.ini file and CC would remove all the items stored under that key. It would look something like this... [WYSIWYG Web]LangSecRef=3023Detect=Software\Pablo Software Solutions\WYSIWYG Web Builder 5Default=TrueRegKey1=HKCU\Software\Pablo Software Solutions\WYSIWYG Web Builder 5\Settings\PublishLocations You might want to open regedit and navigate to that key just to make sure you wont lose anything you might want to keep. If you need any help with the ini file let me know. I'll look around and see if there is any more info I can find.
  9. Those files are more than likely stored in the registry. What is the name and version of the application?
  10. You can still use the areas that have been wiped. CC dosent alter the drive itself. Only the data that has been removed/deleted.
  11. I've tried a few diff. scenarios without much success using the latest CC release. I tried recurse using a txt pattern on the root drive, Windows folder and both were no go. But it did work on a user created folder with 3 subs. This issue was brought up in the past but I thought it had been addressed.
  12. You can use Windows Task Scheduler and execute the parameter CCleaner.exe /AUTO You can also add a shut down computer switch if you want to shutdown after the scheduled cleaning. See this page for more info: http://docs.piriform.com/ccleaner/advanced...line-parameters
  13. I noticed something else. Maybe someone who has the problem can try this also... I opened CC after rebooting. The system restore tab was empty. I clicked on 'Startup' and after the items loaded I clicked on system restore again. This time after a second or two, the list populated with the restore points. Im at a loss to explain that one. Augeas: +1 for the sort by date/time (seems the setting is not remembered between CC sessions. I thought it was just me)
  14. Just to add some info. I have 3 restore points and CC showed me a blank page with v2.19.90. Running Vista Business x86. Then I opened System Resore and closed it. Ran CC and the page was then populated with the restore points. I noticed 2 services I had set to manual were running. Protected Storage and Volume Shadow Copy. Im wondering if one or both of those services needs to be running for CC to access SR points? I'll try to reproduce the behavior and post back if I find anything else. The only reason I can see why deleting all restore points works, is because when opening sys restore the required services are started.
  15. Off the top of my head, the software may be Alps touchpad. You can either reinstall your touchpad driver/app from your recovery CD or download the latest version from Sony. I would opt for getting the newest version myself. Sony Vaio Drivers (VGN-N325E) Select OS as by default the page loads drivers for Vista. http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list....amp;region_id=1 Your driver is located under the 'Pointing Device' section.
  16. Have you tried the portable build? It dosent require installation and you can unzip CCleaner.exe to the folder\location of your choosing. http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds/downloading-portable With UAC turned off, it would seem like a permission issue with your user account. Are you using a standard or admin account? Have you tried installing CC into a user created folder? Example C:\Programs\CC The only time I ran into that error was when I installed an app under a different user account name. But I dont think thats your issue.
  17. Im happy that worked out for you! Seems you we were thinking along the same lines. Depending on your Windows version I have another exclude you can add to CC. But this one covers all Office apps and not just specific ones. (Word, Excel, ClipArt Catalog, Picture Viewer, etc) In CC, options, exclude, click the 'Add Folder' button and navigate to the following location... For Win XP C:\Documents and Settings\<user profile>\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Recent For Win Vista & 7 C:\Users\<user profile>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Office\Recent This folder catches all Office files opened or saved. There is a specific purpose for Office saving lnk files in the folder as well as the registry (I researched it a while back). But I havent had my morning coffee yet so it escapes me
  18. When the Ok button is greyed out it means the registry key dosent exist on your system. I have to ask and mean no insult, but... You did change the drop down from HKCR to HKCU? Another thought. If you ran CC and cleared all your Excel recent files, then the registry key would have been deleted. It wont be regenerated again until you open Excel and save or open a spreadsheet. As a test try pasting the following into the box Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Excel
  19. Try adding an exclusion in CC not to remove the recently saved/opened items in Excel. Options > Exclude > Add Registry. Select 'HKCU' from the drop down list and copy and paste the following text into the box: Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Excel\Recent Files Then click the 'Ok' button.
  20. More and more it seems like peoples posts get removed and threads closed for no valid reason. http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=20236 Define qualified. Its the same users in this forum. So why not move the thread instead of closing it and editing peoples posts? There may have been information I could have used. Someone spent time composing a post. Unless it clearly violates a rule, I see no reason to remove it. There are numerous instances of what I feel is a misuse of power. This is why my participation has been decreasing.
