  1. rozp, Glad you are all sorted, and thanks for letting us know. Yes, ccleaner is a great prog.
  2. A very happy Xmas and a peaceful New Year to all
  3. If you are trying to help someone with a problem on their computer, it's not really a good idea just to guess the solution. A good idea would be to admit that it was just a guess.
  4. No, I haven't tried this yet rridgley. The only info I have from a write up that recommends it because you don't have to install it on your hard drive. I'm sure the linux users on this forum will be able to give members more info and there is a faq on the website.
  5. I know some people would like to try linux without any changes on their computer. Here is a link to try it from bootable usb key/pen drive http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/
  6. Shouldn't it be "replace" a light bulb !
  7. etrust. It's so easy to use as well, a year's free trial http://www.my-etrust.com/microsoft
  8. Anwar, Your use of the English language varies from post to post. I get the impression you sometimes hide behind words pretending not to understand advice, and then write in poor English when you want to annoy people. This particular post is a very old thread, I am afraid you will have to cast your line with a different bait, there will not be many bites for this.
  9. Should " allow sub-frames to navigate across different domains " be set to disabled in internet tools and why?
  10. So Mike, it looks like its all about faxes and the storage of info in it. This is probably why I have no info in it as I enabled fax, used once and since then never. Good work finding this info .
  11. Hi Viki, That was a really nice post about ccleaner! It would be a good idea to put your idea into the suggestions thread so Mr G (the developer ) could have a look at it straight away
  12. Just before I closed down last night I ran ccleaner and there it was, the debuglog file, deleted ! Just come online today, thought I'd just recheck... it's come back. The .cab folder and file is unchanged however.
  13. Hope this is the right info! AMD Athlon 64 processor 3000+
  14. That was an interesting place you sent me rridgley. The PPDIR with the .cab 1 file they said was ok. The debug txt file they said a firewall or piece of malware was preventing me from uploading it as it only showed 0 bytes. However it shows no bytes when I look at it. It is in notepad when I open it by the way. Do you think I should delete this debug txt file?
  15. New version available. 2.19
  16. Ewido found nothing rridgley. Funny thing is I just noticed that it says the text document has nothing written on it. Yet the folder it is in ( the PPDIR one ) is a Data 1 cabinet folder with 1.8 mb inside. Do you know what this folder is for?
  17. T30Debuglogfile.txt What is this file for please? It is in a PPDIR folder in c\windows\temp.
  18. Englishmen, I do burn old videos to disc (for my own use of course, and I bought the videos!) Basically I just plug in leads, the ones with the yellow, red and white ends. First plug them into back of video player, audio out and video out. Then into the computer. composite, audio in and video in. Next you have to have some kind of software, I have Powerdvd. Put in blank dvd. You choose PAL, because you will play it in the uk. Choose analog as the place you will record from. Front line in for sound. Press play on video and then press record on your software. Power dvd burns it straight to disc. Nero ( which I now longer have ) is also able to do this but it goes to the hard drive first and you have to burn from there. Hope this is of some help
  19. I am not sure what problem you mean. If it is your passwords etc for logging in and out of sites, untick the autocomplete form history.
  20. One of the many things I like about ccleaner is that I don't have to log in for the time to be British Standard Time!
  21. aarhus 2004, You are intitled to your opinion even if it is wrong!! 10 million downloads of ccleaner is as good a recommendation as you are going to get. War 59312, Please wait until one of the qualified advisors is able to help you. Shouldn't be too long.
  22. See what you are getting at. Though it would certainly be a good idea to leave all your friends with an installed version!! You could then copy onto your memory stick for your next first aid job from a setup exe you keep on your desktop.
  23. This according to my newspaper is one of the most downloaded sites of the last week. 5 Finnish students have spent 7 years making this spoof. The film and special effects are excellent I think. It's free to download and there is a good FAQ bit for those of you who like that. http://www-fi3.starwreck.com/
