    ClamWin

Is ClamWin compatible with Windows Vista now?
  2. Hahaha! That was funny. Pediatric edition and Chaperon edition buhahaha
  3. Nice layout. Looks very professional and still simple.
  4. Wow. Where's the privacy huh? After seeing that video, privacy for me is a good looking sell word.
  5. What are the patterns used in the overwriting methods CCleaner provide? I've been searching for info, but haven't found anything specific. I've read somewhere about 0's, 1's and random, the Peter Gutmann 35 passes consisting of 4 randoms, 27 specific and 4 more random passes. But, I can't find anything about the patterns used in the 3 DoD and 7 NSA passes. Sorry if this is not the right forum to ask, but, it was the one that made more sense.
  6. Wow. This is the first time I've heard of this. Thanx for the article Humpty.
  7. Nice article Humpty. I don't trust wireless connections even though they are encrypted. There's always a way around security.
  8. Well, at least one of the things. I tried again now, and stopped working. Then, tried again and it closed without any notification. , weird. It must be on the System tree options though.
  9. Once you press Start Video, a window will appear. In the new window, below the player, you will see a little square that says: "CCleaner, CCleaner is definitely a great way to clear your track from your browsers."
  10. Tennis...Well I loved to see Anna Kournikova playing. But it's ok, there's Maria Sharapova or something now hehe. Agassi, Pete Sampras, etc...
  11. Well, after some testing with the settings, I came to the conclusion that the problem is when System >> Temporary Files is checked. I don't know how CCleaner deals with files that are supposed to be 0 bytes already, but, you guys could check it out. If you need any other info, just tell me. Thanx. Later guys. Hope you can find a way around it for the next release.
  12. I never used that button, cause to me, it felt suspicious. I don't know, maybe I'm paranoid about certain features in products lol.
  13. Well, yeah, it's not about the post count, but, at least the ones that post something (excluding spam in some cases) are trying to interact with you to make the community grow stronger. Plus, the post count does count in a way. There's nothing more annoying to a new person than to be called newbie even when they know they are. So' when that status changes, it makes them feel part of the whole thing. It's not about the number, it's about the feeling of being "accepted". No disrespect intended, Andavari.
  14. I was just doing the typical daily cleaning with 3 passes and suddenly I got an error. 7 passes, the same. I had to choose the simple overwrite method. This is the first time that this happens with the 3 passes. Any ideas?
  15. I'm using Opera now since the flaw news. Opera must have a flaw somewhere. Like the old saying: "Nothing is 100% secure.", but, just moving with the flow I guess. I still have Firefox. Waiting for the 2.0.0.6 update though. What about those other Browsers? Safari, K-Meleon, etc...? Is any of those any good?
  16. Umm, yeah I know. That's not what I meant. The thing is, in my perspective, Vista, is kind of a failure. There's a lot of Hardware and Software right now that is not compatible with Vista, and issues, etc... So', if so much time and money was spent developing Vista, they should concentrate on fixing at least some issues instead of just keeping developing and guessing. I mean, c'mon, 6 months and they're already saying stuff about "7". I'm not saying: "Stop 7 and fix Vista", but they should do something to limit the losses. But, if they have so much money to throw away something and start again, well, it's their problem. In the end, that helps Linux and other OS's.
  17. AVG, but I have used Avast, NOD32, Norton(yuck). Gonna try ClamWin on my XP machine as soon as I change the power supply.
  18. I bought a Dell Inspiron 6400 like a month ago. The buttons of the player are already losing their color. Other than that, everything is fine...till now. Calling Dell tomorrow to see if the guarantee covers this...Damn it...Also, now they bring the freaking colors right...
