  1. No, Oracle does not show on the Applications List and I'm not using winapp2.ini. Just the default installation. But thanks. Ran CCleaner again excluding the file: "C:\WINDOWS\OracleDatabaseXEServerInstall.log" and tried to connect to Oracle again and it connected. I could try to run it without excluding it again, but I don't want to wait 10-12 minutes again if Oracle goes kaboom hehe.
  2. Ok, I just uninstalled Oracle, installed it again, the file OracleDatabaseXEServerInstall is not null now, and tried to connect to Oracle and now it connected. I don't know if this is ocurring because of that file, but take a look for Oracle needed files. Thanx again. Later.
  3. I don't know how CCleaner decides which log files to delete, but if it decides based on a few ones that are excluded or something like that, then must be careful with which log files it delete. I was just running Oracle XE 10 normally(last program installed), close it down, ran CCleaner to erase crap and when I tried to connect to the database, it said: "Oracle Not Available, No realm something". When you install Oracle, a log file is created called OracleXEServerInstall or something like that, that apperently it's needed to run Oracle normally I think. I noticed that when that file was been deleted(5.74MB) I think it was, it just kept the progress bar running but nothing happened. Heard of something like this? Take a look just in case. Thanx. Later.
  4. I'm using the Tea Timer host file. Is there a lot a difference between the Spybot S&D host file and the MVPS one?
  5. It does have the option. You just have to uncheck it. You must have miss it during the installation. Besides, the hosting for the site cost money.
  6. Does this release includes the Vista Recent Documents cleaning? Until 2.05, it's been like 4 releases without it. Don't know what happened. Just curious cause I'm downloading it now for my XP machine and for the Vista one.

  10. For some strange reason, this build is not cleaning Recent Documents. I don't know what else it's not cleaning right now, but, check it out. I'm Running Vista.
  11. Already tried that with Andy. Thanks anyway Yeah, sorry, I posted this before asking Andy for help. My bad.
  12. A snake walker! what the hell!
  13. Don't work either. I'll try the third party and ISP thing. Thanks Andavari.
  14. I've been trying for a while to enter to http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/ and I get: "You tried to access the address http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/, which is currently unavailable.". Is the website down or is my computer the problem? Even the update for SpywareBlaster doesn't work. :S.
  15. Congratulations Andavari!
  16. Ummmmm August 24, 2007 "Windows Update software" for me
  17. Uhhhhh, I installed CCleaner 2.0 Final and it has not crashed yet. Hurray!. What I did notice is that, the secure deletion takes a long time. But, anyway, as long as it cleans, I don't mind waiting a few minutes. Thanx!
  18. Never mind. I fixed it. Thanx anyway.
  19. Does anybody know of a C compiler with IDE or without it for Windows Vista? I was using Dev-C++ and it works with C++ but when I compile C program, it doesn't. Thanx in advance.

    ClamWin

This is the reason for my question: http://forums.clamwin.com/viewtopic.php?t=...highlight=vista But, I'm a little skeptical about it. Like you said, there's no mentioning of Windows Vista on the supported OS's list. Thanx for the reply Andavari. Thanx for the links hazelnut. Windows Vista is really starting to piss me off. Where are the Firewalls for Windows Vista?! I've been reading that the release ZoneAlarm made had some issues. Comodo doesn't have a Windows Vista version. Is Jetico Firewall any good? There's a Windows Vista version on the site. Anyway, the laptop brought McAfee Security Suite 2006, which seems to be doing absolutely nothing. I don't trust the virus scan, and less could I trust the 'firewall'. I've been thinking about unistalling the Suite and installing Avira AV Classic and Jetico. What would you recommend?
