  1. Some more progress has been made to the subtitle finder. The subtitles are now automatically loaded in SMPlayer after they are downloaded. No more restarting. http://smplayer.berlios.de/forums/viewtopic.php?id=606 It's in svn r1997 via the FTP And the Windows compilation method has changed. http://smplayer.berlios.de/forums/viewtopic.php?id=42

Laserix 2 - " Laserix is a flash game created by Jason Storhed, a video game designer student. This game is just 100% fun and perfect transpose to PSP !!!!. I have tried it once and became a big fan! After a couple of days, and few broken PSPs, I finished the 13 levels. Oh no! What am I gonna do !!! I contacted Jason, to ask for more, but he was busy with his exams. So guess what, I decided to create my own levels. Now you can play 52 levels (incuding the 13 orignals masterpiece) and try to finsih the game. Good Luck and have a blast!!! Laserix is a laser that should go through all diamonds on the grid. The only way to do it, is to use mirrors, in the right position and adjust them to define the right laser path. Laserix is a real ?Chinese puzzle?. There is no need for 3D or video. The game is just fun!!! " Scroll to bottom of page to download for PSP and PC(PC version via Lua Player). WinDirStat - See Image
  5. @CTskifreak: That upload speed is just insane. This test is the same setup as before:
  6. I'm not sure how vista does it but in xp under Device Manager you can open the wireless card's properties. There is a tab called Advanced which usually contains at least 1 power option. 'Power Output' and 'Power Save Mode' are 2 on mine. Be sure they are adjusted to give the most power. 'Roaming Decision' should be set to 'Optimize Distance', if available.
  7. Yeah the install version sucks on my machine but portable has no such issues.
  8. Shareaza, ?Torrent, eMule, FrostWire.
  9. If you want to get your hands dirty- http://www.freeantennas.com/projects/template/default.htm
  10. I move them to my 'x' folder on my usb hard drive. The x folder contains a swamp of random and different things. Currently ~17GB worth.
  11. I'm part of the #1 team. 'Default'. Sure rolls right off the tongue.
  12. Hmm, seems the bottom port works better even though it's the one I use most.
  13. You can uninstall Quicktime AFTER iTunes has been installed, then install quicktime alternative which will cut down the install size. iTunes should work fine still unless they changed something to check for lack of official Quicktime.
  14. I don't care for Indexing, messenger service, msn explorer or any other of the things M$ tries to push. I search with Total Commander instead of Explorer. It works well enough for my needs.
  15. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Encrypting_File_System#Recovery So no, it's not going to happen unless you somehow repair the old installation of xp. But I noticed this at the bottom- http://www.beginningtoseethelight.org/efsrecovery/index.php
  16. LOL they must have read that thread about making it disappear.
  17. I have 2 USB ports on the left side of this Compaq C304NR. They work fine most of the time except when the plug of my external HDD is wiggled from side to side. My flash drive has a wider base which prevents it from wiggling without coming out so it never happens to it. My crappy Microsoft 27something MHz wireless optical notebook mouse never disconnects at all because it has a cheap plug which in this case means it's a little tighter fitting than normal, but not too tight to cause my problem. The connection never really stays disconnected, so it never really causes problems. Even when I'm transferring files to and from it while wiggling it and then compare MD5 sums it never fails. But now the real nerve wrecking problem is that most of the 250GB drive is a TrueCrypt file and it will dismount from the slight disconnects. The file never gets corrupted but it's certainly not ideal. I wouldn't even know of this problem if it wasn't for the dismounts. The cable and plug is fine as I've tried different ones and also examined the solder joints between the mobo and ports. I will bend or solder whatever is needed later to increase tension between the contacts but I was wondering if this was a fairly common problem or if I'm an unlucky victim here. I always treat the ports and plugs properly without stressing or overusing them.
  18. http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20060913-7730.html Also some of the analog frequency ranges will be allocated to public safety and service.
  19. I'm lazy and wondering- What is the main differences/changes between IE7 and 8?
  20. ^There are some options in Sandboxie called Quick Recovery and Immediate Recovery where you can add whatever folder(s) said email client stores the files you want. EDIT: Sandboxie's options has an expandable category called Applications which contains what you want. Disregard the first part.

    VLC 0.9.2

It seems somewhat crash prone now that I've loaded a big random playlist of videos into it. Definitely not as crash prone as the dev version of this was, probably some minor fixes will come soon. Otherwise it's much improved.
