I think there are tablet apps and phone apps. I think it's relatively easy for developers to use the same code on both but they are different apps. This is why android tablets are often criticized for using "stretched phone apps" but iPads aren't. Apple requires developers to create optimized apps for both. It doesn't come up on the app store on my phone but it came up in itunes on my computer.

Terra isn't available on phones. I might be getting an iPad mini when they are announced next week. If I do, I'll give it a shot. I love my nexus 7, but I'm a teacher(still feels good not to say student anymore!) and there a lot more educational apps on iOS.

Before firefox I would often write things into word before posting them on forums, social sites, ect. Glad those days are over! I actually like IE9. It eliminated a lot of the weird security prompts and issues that IE8 had. I would use it if it had spell checking and ad blocking that didn't involve the host file. I'm actually kinda looking forward to IE10.

I'm currently using chrome on my computers, tablet, and Iphone. Love the way it syncs bookmarks, and tabs. I can be reading on my computer and pick it up exactly where I left off on my tablet or phone. I use safari sometimes on my phone because it has a cool "reader mode" on some sites which make it easier to read text(plus its way faster than chrome on iPhone.) I used to worry about the privacy concerns of functions such as this. Now I choose convenience instead.

IE10 has spell checking. All I really care about. Firefox has been slow and chrome still renders sites strangely.(all webkit browsers do. For instance I hate shopping on amazon with chrome. It doesn't zoom in on pictures correctly)

I have 25 gigabytes for free forever on Skydrive.(had to sign up a while ago) I love the newest version of skydrive. I have it synched on 3 pcs and an IMac and its been perfect. I also really like the android and iOS apps because you can edit word docs. Signed up with my university account. My school is lame, not even at 8gb yet. Sure it will get there.

The above posters are correct that there is a check box to avoid installing chrome. What is you preferred browser? We can help you set it back to default.

I'm using chrome regularly(even though I don't like it) because firefox is so slow. I have done clean installs and even tried it on a fresh windows install. Chrome does some weird stuff but it has been nice having synched bookmarks between my phone, tablet, desktop, and laptop.

Back to firefox: Anyone else think the last few firefox releases have been dog slow compared to the previous versions? I also hate the new default interface. Really disappointed with the direction FF is going.

I'd be up for creating a pinned topic for you on the forum. Only if your up for it though, would be a lot of work. I wonder if you could use google calandar and just publish it for others to see? May be more work than that, I have no clue.

They probably pay better. Anyone used the new kindle fire? That thing has adds EVERYWHERE. I don't know why anyone would choose it over the nexus 7.

I guess I'm just used to this kind of thing. Both my phone and my tablet already do this. On android when I search for something it searches my tablet and also pulls in search data from google. On iOS its doing the same thing if I search for something not on my phone. Ubuntu is searching amazon instead of google. Amazon technically isn't a search engine but google is making money the same way. At least ubuntu allows you to disable it.

Linux users need to let stuff like this go a little more. Software development costs money and if they want linux to keep getting better then they need to support it somehow. On a side note, what the hell happened to ubuntu? That unity interface is terrible. I actually have linux mint cinnamon installed on my laptop right now. Its a great operating system and the linux mint guys are pushing linux in a good direction. I'll probably still move onto windows 8 but if I cant get over the interface then at least I feel like there is something to turn to that has a more classic style. I'm super excited about windows 8 tablets I will most likely be getting the Surface RT when they launch at the end of this month, I'm just not convinced about the desktop windows 8...

I didn't like Green Day at first. Saw them in concert a few years ago at a festival. Changed my mind. Awesome show.

I like swift key. I have the tablet version on my nexus. I spent my google money the first day.(bought a bunch of games) I wish I would have grabbed that office app during the sale. I forgot and it expired.

Anyone else liking the newest Green Day album? I've liked some of their stuff before but I didn't expect to like this album as much as I do. I've let it play all the way through a few times and I haven't had to press next yet. Good summer driving album. I was disappointed in the new Killers album though. I was hoping they would follow up Sam's Town.(any Springsteen fan would probably like that album) What new stuff are you listening to right now? (I'm bored with music at the moment.)

Yeah, I haven't tried the maps yet. I don't use my phone as a GPS though(have a garmin gps). I'm sure google will put out an app like they did with the new youtube app. I don't really know what all the outrage was about, you can use google maps in safari and there are tons of map applications for free. I also bought a batman game during the android sale, but its a laggy mess. I haven't had time to see if I can fix it. At least it was only a quarter.

I'm pretty sure the judge already threw out Samsung's claims, not sure about HTC. After having this phone for a few days, I have to say I'm loving it. This thing smokes every other mobile device I've ever used in regards to speed. (even my nexus 7) The screen is beautiful and the size seems perfect. I have it in an otterbox and I'm not sure I would want anything bigger in my pocket. On a side note: I bought a game called Horn for my nexus 7 yesterday for 25cents(usually $7 I think) Game is AWESOME! Favorite mobile game so far.

Iphone came yesterday(was supposed to be here last week. Stupid AT&T). I like the bigger screen and the phone is FAST. I'm surprised how fast LTE is.

A lot of the sites my university used required java. I had a class that used a java based video conferencing software(cant remember the name) and it was absolutely awful. One plus to google chrome is that if you have an old version of java installed it wont run java plug ins. It actually prompts you to inform you that your java is out of date and asks each time you try to run it until you get the update. Annoys the hell out of me but it also makes me update java(something I never do).

I think its interesting that apple is losing everywhere except the US. Kind of shows how broken the patent system is.

People have smartphone for other reasons than it's cool. I use mine for work(email and sending documents primarily), I use it as a camera(have a nice sony as well but only carry it around sometimes), and also for fun(check movie times, ect). I don't browse the internet on my phone very often, but it would be very had for me to get what I need done without it. Nodles, I disagree about the iphone. I'm definitely not an Apple fan but it's the most user friendly smart phone out right now. Best screen(quality not size), best camera, and largest selection of software. Could change but at the moment its #1. I don't use a mac computer but I do love my phone.

what I really want is a windows phone 8 device. mostly because I still carry my zune hd every where. I can't find anything that beats zune pass. If windows phone 8 is good I may try to trade my fiance for her upgrade.
