  1. 2. I wouldn't be allowed to post mine then.
  2. Nice effect Anthony, I wouldn't be allowed to post mine.
  3. I've just done a clean and checked the file count in my cookies and there are 69 including index.dat. I wouldn't have IE7 we have it at work and the layout is crap. Who puts the address abr directly under the title bar? I havn't found a way to move it unless you after have admin rights to do that. P.S. I might be having another computer this weekend. A friend at work has bought a new laptop so he doesn't want his desktop.
  4. Thanks for the Adobe info Davey. Yes I use 50 different forums but I only have 5 or 6 different usernames because someone else is using the one I want and the password is the same for all of them. No I don't keep a seperate list and I have no security encrypting and maintenance software, I'm just using a good OS Win98SE.
  5. How does Adobe Flash Player save passwords? Cookies save passwords. I have Adobe turned on and I don't loose my passwords for favourite sites. Autocomplete Forms History turned on always as been.
  6. Yes good point Davey. Unless you have those anouying message boxes Are you sure you want to exit this program?. Its been a long time since I first installed CCleaner so I can't remember my first settings because I just over install the newer versions.
  7. Welcome to Piriform mxo2204. Well I'm not sure how your topic title Replying to How to recover not deleted pictures (files) relates. Recuva recovers deleted files providing they haven't been overwritten by other files. Why would you want to recover not deleted pictures. If they aren't deleted to can obviously see them so do with them what you want to. Or am I missing some point here?
  8. I've taken a copy of CCleaner 2.08.588 to work and these check marks only appear on 588 not on 567. My problem is solved.

    Silent Install

Why would you want too? Just tick the options you want to use.
  10. I would never have thought of that one Davey. By default it isn't checked so he must have checked it.
  11. Thats a bad thing to do with any operating system. It causes more problems that it cures.
  12. Your right mushu it is 2.18Mb. I've never downloaded any of them of the main site I've always used FileHippo. I already have the Yahoo bar in my browser anyway. You can download that on it own from Yahoo.
  13. Well I looked on my CCleaner 2.06.567 at work running WinXP and that doesn't show these check marks either. Is it only CCleaner 2.08.588 that has these? I shall have to take the new copy a copy to work.
  14. Sorry to go off topic guys and gals but is hazelnut a female? You can't always go by their avatar. Ok I've just read her profile.
  15. Welcome to Piriform owlman. I've never heard of this problem. When I do a clean it always performs as it should do then I close it. Can you post a few more details. Operating system with service pack. Web browser make and version. Antivirus make and version.
  16. Welcome to Piriform. uranium_dude. Thats a bad idea because Defraggler won't run on Win98SE. The user has an option to install what ever they think they need.
  17. I've been use CCleaner for the past 2 years but I've never seen any check marks on Startup items on any version. It just shows the list, you select one and hit the Delete Entry button. Or is this something I can't see on Win98SE?
  18. I don't think any version of Recuva has the Yahoo toolbar only CCleaner has this. I've just installed both of them again. The file size of Recuva Slim is the same size has Recuva normal, 819Kb which is correct. The portable version is 789Kb. Recuva Builds.
  19. Welcome to Piriform Sal. Do you mean this Los Angeles Times Daily Crossword? Well I don't know what you are missing but everything appears to load for me. Once you've used CCleaner and cleaned out your Temporary Internet Files it does take a bit longer to load the flash player movie on the top. I'm not sure which page on Southern California Gas Company you are looking at because I don't use that gas company. Again they use flash player.
  20. I've noticed it now deletes files in my C:\Windows\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\ + sub folders are these just installation files that aren't needed? Good job keep up the good work MrG.
  21. All FileHippo downloads for CCleaner and Recuva are the normal versions, none of them are Slim versions.
  22. Welcome to Piriform aricblunk. You're right I've just download from alternative site and its 2238Kb. I would stick to FileHippo if I were you. The FileHippo size is 819Kb.
  23. Ok then if its a reg file use Notepad to open it. Start Notepad which a new clean screen and copy an paste all the text in your reg file into the new Notepad file and Save As CCleaner.reg or what ever filename you what to use providing it has a reg extension. Then just double-click on this saved reg file to put the info back into the registry, click Yes to add.
  24. Welcome to Piriform Chris. I think every 32bit exe has a file version. If you check the file properties of CCleaner.exe you will see the file version number of the previous one is 2.6.0.567. You can make apps that checks the version number of exe's then goes on to the web site to download a newer version. Other than that for CCleaner you just click on Check for updates... in the bottom right. Do you write programs?
