  1. Just because is it slow in coming it does not mean its not coming.
  2. Now that **** is funny, you got to love UK law.
  3. What a coincidence i suggested the same feature here about half an hour before you did .
  4. When i was looking for free alternatives to all my software some time ago, that was one of the apps i come across. Good but no ccleaner.
  5. I'm not moaning about it, because its done when its done but as the secure shredder seems to be a bit slow in coming. How about a option to place all files and folders selected for removal in the recycling bin. This way users who use a secure shredder of some sort can the securely erase these files and folders. Obviously when this option is selected it automatically disables "Empty Recycling Bin"
  6. I know im paranoid as hell, why do you thing i use ccleaner, eraser etc. . What i was trying to saying is that you don't know if eraser is actually making the files unrecoverable unless your pc gets inspected by file recovery experts.
  7. Thanks for the suggestions, i was hoping to automate the backup of selected files/folder to a single compressed file to another drive.

Truecrypt Very good open source apps which can create Encrypted virtual disc drives, which it will create. From the official site: # Creates a virtual encrypted disk within a file and mounts it as a real disk. # Encrypts an entire hard disk partition or a device, such as USB flash drive. # Encryption is automatic, real-time (on-the-fly) and transparent. # Provides two levels of plausible deniability, in case an adversary forces you to reveal the password: 1) Hidden volume (steganography ? more information may be found here). 2) No TrueCrypt volume can be identified (volumes cannot be distinguished from random data). # Encryption algorithms: AES-256, Blowfish (448-bit key), CAST5, Serpent, Triple DES, and Twofish. Mode of operation: LRW (CBC supported as legacy). # Based on Encryption for the Masses (E4M) 2.02a, conceived in 1997.
  9. I also use NTREGOPT if you go here they also have a very good tool for backing up your registry.
  10. I download truecrypt last week i have not yet extensively used it yet but so far its very good. Some features from the official site. # Creates a virtual encrypted disk within a file and mounts it as a real disk. 11. It uses the same methods for overwriting free space as it does for erasing files and folders. Unless your a criminal of some sort and had your pc seized and inspected for criminal evidence. You then got a heavy sentence i think it would be safe to assume it didn't work. As your not a criminal(are you?) then i think its more then good enough to securely delete files(including free space) you may wish to delete.
  12. Thanks Viki for the suggestions but i like EAC and are now use to how it works. I also have not had any noticeable problems.
  13. I currently use SyncBack as my backup app but was wondering if anyone is aware of any other free alternatives. Also anyone know a way i can automate 7-Zip to compress a folder at a set time, thanks.
  14. Yep thats the one, Thanks for the link hazelnut.
  15. I remember someone on here mentioned a site that you can upload a file to and the site checks it with multiple anti virus's apps, anyone got a clue what it is, thanks.
  16. I believe so yes. You could tho place the below entire into winapp2.ini this way the search entries will be removed but not the cache which stores the images etc. Be warned tho the cache will build up over time to some size, i don't use google earth but they is more then likely a option to limit the cache size which you may want to do to stop it getting out of control. [Google Earth]LangSecRef=3021Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Google\Google Earth PlusDefault=TrueRegKey1=HKCU\Software\Google\Google Earth Plus\Search
  17. When MrG has finsihed developing it. Use Eraser until then.
