CCleaner not launching on macOS

Hi!

For some reason cleaner does not launch on my Mac anymore. I'm running macOS Sonoma 14.0 (but it happened as well under macOS 13.x) and ccleaner 2.9
I tried to uninstall and reinstall the software several times but the problem persists.

Here is an extract from my console, I hope this helps.

I'd appreciate your help!

Is this only happening since you installed/updated to the new version, v2.9.189, that was released last Monday?

I've now flagged this 'not launching' issue up for the staff/developers to take a look at.

I've used CCleaner Pro for many years w/o a problem!!  This morning on my on my MacBook Air i up graded the software to "Sonoma 14.0" and CCleaner will not launch!  Having tried all I know to do I deleted CCleaner........

Does a FIX exist??????????????

 

Oh, and I could not find a way to directly contact CCleaner Staff!!!!!!!!!!!

Ref: MacBook Air and software update to “Sonoma 14.0”

Now CCleaner (latest Mac version) will not launch 

tried all I could think of and still no launch 

have used CCleaner for many years 

out of frustration I deleted CCleaner

As said above I have flagged this issue up for attention.

You can use the form here to raise an individual support ticket:  https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general

Please be aware that support are very busy at the moment and are taking much longer that usual to answer.
(Up to a week, or even longer).

After submitting the form you should get a ticket number and will also get an automatic email reply (check your email spam folder), if you have those then you are in the queue, so please have patience and someone will get to your request.

Please also note that as it tells you in the email opening another ticket may put you back down the queue and so further delay the response.
(That's just the way that the queueing system works).

The latest release for CCleaner for Mac, version 2.09, was released just last week (https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner-mac/version-history) but the day before the MacOS 14 release.  I would expect them to have a Sonoma-friendly release and/or patch in the near future.

I’m not entirely sure this issue is related to Sonoma

I agree with Julius, I had the same issue on MacOS 13, and continues on 14.

I requested my serial as well, and I got a mail referring:
"You can see it below, along with a download link, if you need to reinstall the associated product you purchased."

And there's no link in said mail. Which is interesting. Is the paid version a different download than the free one? or can a valid serial be entered in the free version to upgrade to Pro?

A valid key will update Free to Pro.

Subject of course to how many devices/activations that key is valid for.

PS. The staff/developers are looking into the not launching issue.

Hello 

I had  the same problem this morning with the new MacBook .. I sent a mail to support@ccleaner.com..This is the mail I communicate normally with 

May be they are working on it 

I will check Cleverbridge company that invoices if they have any news ...

We haven't heard anything further yet.

I don't really expect to hear anything until they release a new version with a fix.

A patch release for ccMac 2.09.187 (updating from 2.09.185 from late September) was just released earlier today by the looks of things https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner-mac/version-history with a note:

 

Patch update 2.9.187

  • We have also enhanced support for macOS Sonoma and resolved the issue that was preventing users from opening CCleaner from the Menu bar. 

 

That seems promising.

@arkhaminmate, @Kiwibru, @Julius, @Reda, @iichel, @jrhoffman75, @rblacksberg47, @semaj8595, @rafix, @JLDEMENT, @willee51 (and anyone else I may have missed): Give this a try and see if it resolves the issue
