lmmv
Hello. I've been using Ccleaner for a long time and never had a problem until recently that it started giving an error, as you can see in the picture . I uninstalled it and reinstall and still not working. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

AVG Internet Security 2015 Problems started with the "v4.19.4867" version (or "v4.18.4844" I´m not sure), and with the latest version, "v5.00.5050" it keeps happening Thank you
Moderators hazelnut Posted December 5, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 5, 2014 If you temporarily disable AVG and then run CCleaner does the error still happen? Moderators mta Posted December 5, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 5, 2014 some AV programs adversely effect CC and some AV's don't completely 'turn off' when you disable them. up to very recently I had been using AVG IS 2015 will no ill-effect on CC. but to eliminate your AV, or other background tasks, see if CC runs to completion with the PC in Safe Mode. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last. lmmv
Finally, i found the solution. It was the K Lite Codec Pack. I dont know why but I just uninstalled it and now CCleaner is working normally. Thanks for your support.

login123
Good to hear, and thanks for the feedback, it may help others one day. And Welcome to the forum (better late than never) +1. Thanks for the info. Windows is like a messy spiderweb: Connections where you least expect them. The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers. APC
I had the same problem and found another solution for those who use BitDefender: Go to "Protection", "Advanced threat defence", "Settings", "Add applications to exceptions" and introduce "ccleaner.exe" from the path where the application is installed . Moderators Andavari Posted December 1, 2019 Moderators Share Posted December 1, 2019 Doing that with BitDefender doesn't always work, see here:https://forum.piriform.com/topic/56164-cannot-install-ccleaner-563/
APC
1 hour ago, Andavari said: Doing that with BitDefender doesn't always work, see here:https://forum.piriform.com/topic/56164-cannot-install-ccleaner-563/ For your information only: my post reported a way to solve the problem "Ccleaner has quit unexpectedly" (as shown in the title of the forum), not for the difficulty of installing the program. The message "Ccleaner has quit unexpectedly" was suddenly shown after several years of using it without problems. This message disappeared after including "ccleaner.exe" in the BitDefender exceptions list. Edited December 1, 2019 by APC
