pwillener
I do sometimes login to the Piriform forum from outside of my home. Unfortunately the 'Remember me' checkbox is automatically pre-checked, and I have to uncheck it each time before logging in. This has bothered me for quite a few years, and I finally today decided to ask if this checkbox could not be pre-checked? This shouldn't matter to anyone who's permanently logged-in, but it will help those who do not want to remain permanently logged in. Thank you! Moderators Andavari Posted October 1, 2012 Moderators Share Posted October 1, 2012 +1 from me too. I always untick that box since some IPB forums have it set with what I suppose is a supercookie or something like that.

Moderators mta Posted October 18, 2012 Moderators Share Posted October 18, 2012 i use Firefox in private browsing mode and with the box ticked to 'remember me', it doesn't between FF sessions. just the way i expect it to work, which is the reason you would use private browsing in the first place. but i do support the suggestion to have it not ticked as the default for the same reasons pwillener proposes...
