lotse
Just my 2 cents worth. Porn can be found anywhere on the web. Type in any seemingly innocent comment into a search engine and you'll be bombarded with porn sites. Sorry guys and girls, but lets keep things in perspective. Uploading a few snapshots of our desktops to an image hoster that may show a bottom or two, or carry an advert that promotes gambling is hardly going to currupt our youngsters. They're either corrupted already, or are reading this forum for what it is - ie, computing related material - not for smutty pictures. Time to step down from our high moral pedistals and look reality in the face - porn is everywhere - love it or hate it we ain't going to change things by boycotting an image hosting site that shows the odd naughty picture. IMO this whole topic is ridiculous. Rant over and apologies in advance to anyone I have offended.

As far as I'm aware posting porn, or links to porn are against the rules of the forum, and trust me the ads in the first site Dennis used was alot more than 'a bottom or two'. For me personally its a question of quality. If a site of that type allows ads for porn, rogue software, russian brides, fake rolexs then IMO its a pretty crap site and I don't want to use it (I'm certainly not offended by porn, I am a bloke after all )

Moderators DennisD Posted September 7, 2007 Author Moderators Share Posted September 7, 2007 IMO this whole topic is ridiculous. Rant over and apologies in advance to anyone I have offended. I'm not offended by your comments, but I am a bit surprised by them. I think it extremely important that people using this site aren't exposed to distasteful images and advertising because of something we do, especially younger people. Personally, I'm extemely offended by stuff being thrust at me that I don't want to see. If I want to see porn, I'll go to a porn site. A ridiculous topic? You're allowed your opinion, but I couldn't disagree with you more.

CTskifreak
Zooomr Got this from Maximum PC. Haven't tried it, but they liked it - Top 10 Free Web Apps. AJ EDIT: Guys and gals...I'm sorry...I was just looking through and they don't seem to censor pictures...I just found some "adult" material. They aren't adds, but actual people's pictures. If you are just using it to host, you should be fine. But I'm editing this now before I get banned. - Regards, AJ

Moderators Andavari Posted September 21, 2007 Moderators Share Posted September 21, 2007 Image Shack that's where I have my signature hosted. ImageShack is over used and it's usually slow causing threads to load slower than expected.
