Hi Bill, there is no need to post twice so I've removed your other one (which was in this forum too not in the Lounge).
Firstly- are you using Custom Clean or Health Check?
Do you have Smart Cleaning enabled?Secondly- some bank, email, and other account sites require you to login and do security every time that you visit, and they will automatically log you out after a period of inactivity.
If they have (recently?) set that up then cleaning cookies, or not, makes no difference. So what happens if you leave the site and then later go back to the site without running CCleaner?
(My bank wants a login/password, then 3 letters from a security code, then sends another code by text message that has to be entered, and logs me out if I don't click anything for 10 minutes so I have to do it all again).

An NSIS error usually means that there is something wrong with the installer/uninstaller that you are trying to run, or something wrong with app that you are trying to install/uninstall.
Often it happens because the download of the installer, or the install itself, was incomplete or corrupt.
Was your Recuva working OK?So the first thing that I'd try would be to download the installer and reinstall Recuva (don't bother about uninstalling first it will just overwrite the old one), then try uninstalling it again.
You can get the installer here: https://www.ccleaner.com/recuva/builds
Once downloaded double-click on 'rcsetup153.exe' to reinstall Recuva. -
Personally I'd save your money and just use the Free version.
TBH I've come to the conclusion that defragmenting is not needed at all these days, the technology no longer requires it, and Windows will do any that is necessary.
I do still have Defraggler (Free version) but only use it very ocasionally on older external HDD's that I still have. You can schedule defragmenting at specific times in the Free version.
It does everything that the Pro version does except automatic updates, and you can set it to tell you if there is an update avaialbe so you can then update it yourself. -
There is still some remnant of or reference to McAfee somewhere on you machine despite what the McAfee techs did/said. (probably in the registry but could be elsewhere).
Many softwares, especially AV softwares, leave such remnants/references behind after uninstalling them.
Speccy is seeing that remnant/reference and so is reporting it as still being there.
McAfee itself will have been uninstalled, it's just that persistent remnant that Speccy is seeing.
You could try Revo Uninstallers 'Forced Uninstall" mode to see if it can remove the remnant.
(Revo will probably have a list of all the things McAffe can leave behind in their removal database)
https://www.revouninstaller.com/products/revo-uninstaller-pro/#forced
You will need the Pro or 30-day Trial version of Revo to use 'Forced Uninstall'.PS. I hope that these were genuine McAfee employess who you let access your machine.
There are many 'Tech Support' scammers out there who at best will take you money for doing nothing, and at worst will install malware if you let them remotely access your machine. -
How long have you had your key?
Did you buy Defraggler on it's own or as part of the 'Pro Plus' bundle? If your key expires then your Defraggler should simply revert to the free version and continue to work exactly as before.
Without a licence key you will lose priority support and automatic updates.
You can ask for and get support on this forum.
As Defraggler has not had an update for 4 years now that shouldn't be any great loss either, and you can still update manually if an update is released.Basically buying the pro version of Defraggler is simply paying for priority support and automatic updates.
(Many of us think that isn't worth the money). -
Can you install the free version rather than the trial?
Try the 'Slim' installer which is the third one down on this page: https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/builds
-
I have asked the staff to take a look if it's anything to do with the situation there.
In the meantime there a few things that you can try.
Try disabling your antivirus just while you install the trial.
Try putting the computer into 'Safe mode with networking' and installing the trial from there.

You appear to be in Ukraine, is that correct?
-
It's quite simple.
If you want to run an app, any app, that needs to be kept up to date to work fully/properly then it's going to keep reminding you if you are not up to date and so not working fully.
That is entirely your own choice of course, but if you insist on using an out of date version then it is always going to warn you that it's out of date.
Update it and it will work fully and won't keep reminding you that you are not up to date.PS. As you have been using CCleaner in your company do we take it that you had a licenced business edition ?

2 hours ago, Andavari said:
Tonight was the very first time in months that I was able to successfully login without it giving that annoying error.
BTW, the failed logins are one way to keep some of us off the forum that lack any sort of patience for old broken #$%&.
I'd noticed it has apparently been fixed both here and elsewhere (fingers crossed).
TBH I'm half wondering if it is a deliberate anti-spambot measure by Invision that they run now and again?
If you deliberately 'fake' a login error for a month or two then you should get dropped from a number of spambot lists when they can't login first time.I found something similar myself a couple of months ago, although in my case it wasn't deliberate.
There was an issue with my personal domain and it was unreachable for six weeks. I couldn't send or recieve emails at that "name@domain" address.
Before that issue I had been getting 20 to 30 spam marketing emails a week. (I'd got on some spam lists when moving house last year).
Since I have managed to get my domain back working again I have not had a single spam email.
Obviously because they were bouncing back as 'unreachable domain' for a month and a half my domain address has been removed from their lists.

If you continue to insist on using a well out of date CCleaner version then you are going to get notices to update.
There have been many changes to Windows itself, to browsers in particular, and to other apps - your v5.33 will no longer be cleaning them properly.
The way cookies are stored in particular has changed in both Firefox and Chrome, and browserers based on them including MS EDGE. 5.33 will not/cannot clean that new cookie storage.
If you want up to date cleaning then you have to use the up to date CCleaner version. You were told the solution to the CCleaner window size being off screen back in March, it's partly because you have scaling set at 300% - set your CCleaner UI to full screen and it will then fit the screen.
In the end we can only advise, whether you take that advice or not is up to you.
(But if you ask the same questions again then you'll get the same advice). -
The EVO range are SSD's - and you will have very little sucess using a recovery tool such as Recuva on an SSD.
That's just the way that SSD's work, which is different to spinning drives.
I'd suggest that the best place to get help with questions about EVO drives would be the Samsung Community:

@Spagman The Software Updater team say that this issue with CPU-Z version numbering has now been resolved.
-
Nope, it's the Invision forum software.
It's the same on most Invision Community hosted forums that I visit.
We have seen exactly the same issue before but they seem to be slow fixing it this time.
It may be that they are trying to let it run and get more data about the underlying cause rather than just doing a quick patch like they have in the past?
-
Yes the version numbers shown, although the same, are being parsed differently for some reason, it does sometimes happen with some softwares depending on how the version number is stored internally.
I've flagged this particular one up for someone to take a look at.Obviously if you don't run Software Updater it won't bother you.
With Health Check though it runs automatically, and so after the analyze but before 'Make it Better' you will need to click on the 'Security' box and unselect it to prevent Health Check trying to update it.
Alternatively you could go offline before running Health Check, if there is no internet connection then it can't try to do it.Or use Custom Clean rather than Health Check, that Just cleans what you have set it to and doesn't run the Software Updater (or 'Startup').

CPUID is from CPU-Z.

WinMerge is used to compare files in different versions of applications developed in/for Windows.
Both are primarily tools that would be used by a developer, or possibly a system mechanic.
CCleaner is finding them on your machine and saying there are newer versions than the ones that you already have installed.
If you didn't put them there yourself then have you ever had the machine in for repair, or maybe given a "tech support" remote access to your machine? They may have put them there while working and not uninstalled them when finished.

Windows 10 22H2 is on it's way shortly, but don't expect much in the way of changes:

You can set exclusions in Duplicate Finder - but it's probably easier just to ignore them if they are not your own files.
See the NOTE below. If you right-click on one of the files found then a context menu will pop up where you will be given a choice to 'Exclude >'
If you hover over that then you can add an exclusion for the directory, right down from C: to the directory containing the actual duplicate.Usually you'll want to exclude just the directory containg the duplicate file, that directory will then be ignored in future searches.
Here is an example:
I set a search on filename only for "C:\Programme files\*.*" and it found 3 instances of 'uninst.exe' for different CCleaner products - CCleaner, Defraggler, & Speccy.
I right-clicked on the one for 'Defraggler' and made the Defraggler directory an exclusion.I then went back and ran the search again; as you can see here this time the uninstaller for Defraggler was ignored:
NOTE that there is no easy way to undo such an exclusion in the Duplicate Finder, once an exclusion has been set for Duplicate Finder it remains in force.
The only way I have found to remove such a DF exclusion is to delete the settings file "C:\program Files\CCleaner\ccleaner.ini", (or manually edit it if you undertand the ini file syntax).
Deleting 'ccleaner.ini' will reset CCleaner to it's default settings, so you'll then have to set all your ticks/unticks for Custom Clean and all your other custom settings up again.
Like i say - it's probably easier just to ignore the duplicate results if they are not your own files. -
I note that those are Avast files; are they connected with Avast Antivirus?
It could well be that Avast AV itself is protecting them from deletion.
As they and are not your own files (documents, photos, music, etc) and they are connected with software (they are in C:\Program Files\...) then it's usually best to leave them alone.
-
What type of files were/are they?
It could be because the files are protected or need admin permission to delete, for example system files.
Many system files do need duplicates and you should normally set the duplicate finder to ignore system files:If they were your own files then it's more likely that they could not be deleted because they were open.
That will happen if you had opened the files to check which duplicate to keep and which not, and hadn't closed them again. -
Sometimes it's just like that and they can't be moved, or Windows won't let them be moved.
Especialy with the Operating System disc which is what you are showing there.TBH it doesn't make any difference, modern discs are fast enough that loading times won't be affected by more than a millisecond or so.
And you have plenty of freespace there.PS. You may have noticed that the Windows built in Defregmenter/Optimiser no longer shows a drive map like that, that's partly to stop people wasting their time trying to achieve the 'Holy Grail' of a solid block of blue squares at the start, it's hardly ever achieveable except perhaps with a brand new disc. (or possibly a non-OS drive formated as FAT/FAT32/exFAT).

It sounds that you have a corrupted recycle bin, it happens but is easiy to fix, see the following:
Es hört sich an, als hätten Sie einen beschädigten Papierkorb, es passiert, ist aber einfach zu beheben, siehe Folgendes:

From reading the blurb about this wireless microphone's recording function I suspect that it's probably using solid state storage, like an SSD?
If it is an SSD and it has a TRIM function then recovery may not be possible.
It also depends just what that 'central application' does when deleting stored recordings.
cannot unistall recuva
in Recuva
Posted
Just to check what Windows version are you running?
Is Recuva installed in the standard folder?
C: /Programe Files/Recuva/
Unusual, or long, pathnames can cause the error.
A trick I have heard around NSIS error is to rename the 'uninstall.exe' to some other filename eg. 'anyword.exe' in File Explorer and then double click on it to run. (Never had to try that myself though).
