  1. Which browser and CCleaner version?
  2. Which browser? Do you use Winapp2.ini-file?
  3. Not sure, but might have cleaned registry before that. Not sure, though. Maybe cleaned with previous CCleaner, not with the latest.
  4. Got these errors while trying to disable the extensions. Porbably because I don't have IE installed. Could remove those, though.
  5. Ok. I'll keep both entries for myself (probably unticked as default, this would be helpful: http://forum.pirifor...showtopic=34295), Apple-entry is pretty safe for me 'cause almost none of the PC's I clean have it installed (or should have it installed).
  6. Doesn't matter for me, I can help with it if needed.
  7. Yup, should especially disable defrag & prefetch on SSD.
  8. Well, I'm not sure about the Apple entry 'cause I don't have iTunes installed (just remember you saying so). If someone could test it, would be nice. And for the Prefetch; as said built-in entry cleans only XP, and yes I've read about it's affects to performance, if cleaned often. Also, if you disable Superfetch (like you should if using SSD), Windows doesn't remove the Prefetch files.
  9. A button for rescanning the entries/applications in CCleaner (like "rescan" or "scan" or "recheck" or "check"). Wouldn't have to close and reopen CCleaner to rescan the entries found/applications installed; would be easier/faster to use & test entries.

  12. 0,568L (pint) / 1L / 0,33L 1,25L
  13. +1 to this "misunderstanding".
  14. Yeah, though, Winapp2.ini is for (more) advanced users and should always be used carefully (more careful than CCleaner internal/normal cleaning).
  15. You can select "Show all characters" in Notepad++ if that helps detecting those problems. Also newest version of N++ might help.
  16. Yup, downloaded it today. Actually checked updates first time in weeks and it suggested 4.5, good luck.
  17. I use the whole & updated Winapp2.ini with my own additional entries to get everything cleaned, and for the other PC's I use it on (don't have to check all the programs installed etc).
  18. Btw, if you stop the program/service, will it remove the logs then?
  19. Yeah, it should be moved to: 3023 = Multimedia or 3021 = Applications or 3024 = Utilities
  20. Usually depends which algorithm / how many times/passes you overwrite/wipe the space/HDD. In CCleaner it depends how many passes you choose, there's max "Very Complex Overwrite" with 35 passes. Would be very difficult or impossible to recover the data after wiping with 35 passes (though I wouldn't say anything's completely impossible).
  21. This has been talked about in many threads here: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=34329&st=0&p=205005&hl=mse&fromsearch=1entry205005 http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32981&st=0&p=204707&hl=mse&fromsearch=1entry204707 http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=34449&st=0&p=206016&hl=mse&fromsearch=1entry206016 and there's more to find.
  22. As hazelnut said. Those error messages would help alot. If it's not a virus/infection, it could be a faulty hardware, maybe RAM in this case, or overheating.
  23. CCleaner or Winapp2.ini? The program uses either program paths or registry entries; eg. file/folder/program path: DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Safari\Safari.exe OR registry: Detect=HKCU\Software\Chromium
