We used to quip that "password" is the most common password. Now it's "password1." Who said users haven't learned anything about security?

Yes I heard this on the radio yesterday. Priceless.

I know you're a great advocate for SandBoxie Humpty. I'm planning to give it a try in the new year. I hope you don't have any objections to me sending you the occasional PM asking for advice?
-
Cool. I've already passed it on.
-
My best mate is Pete the Pom and you don't reckon he's been copping it!
Hey,Humpty, I just hope Pete gave you plenty of stick in 2005.
-
Same here Rridgely, I can't get on with adblock plus. But adblock combined with filterset g does the job nicely.
.

Thanks for that Humpty. BTW are you looking forward to next weeks test? I live near the Old Trafford cricket ground and was one of the many who were locked out in 2005. Your team is , without doubt , far better than ours, (Ponting is unbelievable) but who knows, we might stage a fight back yet. All this will be unintelligible to our American friends.

Whoops sorry, yes the links seem to be down.

Good result Cowboy.

Well I guess that's that, I've removed it from my system.
Ditto.

Reminds me of the World War II stuff I learned in school when the invading Nazi's were freezing to death when attempting to enter Russia.
Yeah, the siege of Stalingrad. They should have taken a lesson from history. (Napoleon)

it's starting to get really cold here in California.
Cold? In California? I didn't think it EVER got really cold in California.

In CCleaner select Options > Cookies. Any cookies you wish to keep move into the right hand column. Next time you run CCleaner these cookies will be saved and only the cookies in the left hand column will be deleted.
Btw Welcome to the forum.

So that method someone posted to disable the notifier worked?(sorry to whoever posted it I forgot who it was.)
It was mfenech. Post #7
-
No it does not. It's a false positive. Who is giving you these alerts? It's probably picking up on the Yahoo toolbar.
Get CCleaner from here. Choose either BASIC (no toolbar, multi-language support) or SLIM (no toolbar, English only)

Edit: And please do not cross post.

There is still an issue with IE 7 cookies, which may take some time to resolve. However, most people here use Firefox and have no problem with their cookie cleaning. What exactly is your problem with Firefox? And, as has already been said so eloquently, calm down matey.
-
A major change you could make if you are still using IE is to switch to a safer browser, such as Firefox or Opera. Don't forget that if you decide to try one or both of these, it in no way prevents you from continuing to use IE. All these browsers will sit happily on your desktop and you can choose which one to use as you see fit.

There is a new version of cleaner out this week. With a bit of luck it will resolve some of the problems people have been experiencing with IE 7.
-
Opera does have themes.
My opera looks like internet explorer 6.
Hey, Rridgely, that sounds like the worst of both worlds.
-
I will NEVER use Firefox as it looks like it was designed by a colour blind teenager rolleyes.gif
You obviously miss the whole point of Firefox. If you don't like the colours then change them. Make it how you want it . Firefox can be be made to look however you want it to look, very easily. You can't do this with IE or Opera.
It's infinitely configurable. (and try saying that after a few drinks )

Glad you got it sorted Jim . But, with regard to Hazelnut, him is not a him, him is a her.

Yes, it's still there, my favourite of the moment is the take over technology
