sounds like you need to completely uninstall then re install it. thats just my guess, not sure if it will work tho.

i cant get inside the puter to check but all the BIOS says is: processor speed-200 MHz 0032768 KB base memory-640KB extended memory-31744KB cache size-256K processor type-pentium? chip with-MMX technology thats all i can get I JUST TRIED IT IN ANOTHER COMPUTER AND IT WORKS. SO IVE WASTED A DAY TRYING TO GET IT TO WORK WHEN IT COULDNT EVEN HANDLE IT. IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET IT TO WORK WITHOUT BUYING ANYTHING?

ive tried all the keys practically. its like somebody locked it up. its an american megatrends. released 5-3-02. amibios ?1999 american megatrends inc. if that helps any. it says press del but wen i do that it gives me choices. safe mode, normal, safemode with network. i dont get it.

could it be that my computer specs arent good enough to run linux?

i just tried another installation from that site but it didnt work. i tried the first one. i burned them at x4 speed another thing i might add in, i erased the OS and i was just going to put linux in it but it doesnt seem to be working.

i get a link from hazlenut about linux iso. i try the cd and i get this, ISOLINUX 2.04 2003-04-16 isolinux: Loading spec packet failed, trying to wing it ... isolinux:Failed to locate CD-ROM device; boot failed. i used this information from here and downloaded live CD, intel 86 live cd from here whats wrong with it!

DAMN! i just tried on my other computer to see if it would make a difference and now its writing... my laptop has problems. this, and i put a blank CD in and it cant read it. i hope this works... WOW krit86lr! thank you soo much! your awesome!

i run the exe instead of save it now and it says floppy cant be acceded. check another application dont use it.

ok, now im confused. did you try this? i think its just me because its not working. im on an XP and i saved the exe to the floppy. i put it in my other computer and it says OS load in progress... Non-System disk or disk error Replace and strike any key when ready i already formatted. and theres no way i can enter anything in anywhere except the bios. so how do i do that?

either that or linux. i heard that alot of ppl like linux and i have an extra computer (the one i screwed up) to put it on. its a crappy computer and id like to experiment with linux. ive already formated it. it was after the format that i needed the boot disk since theres no operating system on there right now.

i have usb ports but how do i get them to work? will they work with 98? let me try all that...

i was just given a 95 today and i dont have a ps2 mouse but im managing with the keyboard. the usb mouse dont work in it for some reason. anyways, i have a 98 installation CD but it says i already have an operating system on it. i cant figure out how to get it off. i dont have any other CD's or anything.
