Nope, but it's trivial for me to reinstall Windows if need be. I'll probably try fixing it for the next week or so until i get frustrated enough to wipe

I'm still in unknown hard error land. ugh

I'm currently getting destroyed by post-update regret. Trying to launch the shell (explorer.exe) brings up a box that says "unknown hard error" and I haven't been able to fix it yet. Seemingly related to Windows Updates, since that was the last thing I did before it began.

Here's a post from 2002 - one of many! http://windowssecrets.com/forums/showthread.php/27037-Resource-Meter-for-WIndows-XP?s=8fc934b99ff928a68a1076fbc257a192&p=137190&viewfull=1#post137190 It's a thing!

No one seems to remember that when Windows XP came out, it was accused of having a "fisher price" UI scheme. How the times change Everyone will be begging for Metro/Modern once the next thing comes along

CCleaner Pro is a 1 year license, you get unlimited installations on your personal machine for that period.

I want to retain cookie permissions, but delete all cookies
Winapp2.ini replied to Julianon's topic in CCleaner
Hi Julianon, I'm currently travelling for the American holidays (Thanksgiving) and won't be back at a computer probably until Monday evening, I'll do my best to address your question at that time as I currently only have my mobile phone -
The titlebar is my only real complaint. It seems like it's made up custom, instead of just using a normal windows form. It's thicker and has more padding than my system preferences, and it's just a little weird for me.

Can confirm; I've never seen a public release. Even Agomo was a private beta and you had to sign an NDA.

There are addons for many popular browsers that should let you block specific cookies. What browser do you use?

You can actually repair a lot of windows problems with a Windows install CD. In this instance you'd boot into the Windows Install CD, select Repair My Computer (assuming one of the automatic repairs doesnt fix the issue,) select command prompt and you can run a few commands that might help you boot, C: bootrec.exe /fixmbr bootrec.exe /fixboot bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd sfc /scannow /offbootdir=C: /offwindir=C:\Windows

2014 CCleaner has stopped working Win7 64

Does it always fail on the Recycle Bin? You may have a corrupt recycle bin. open an admin command prompt and type rmdir /s C:\$recycle.bin and enter Y when asked to confirm. This will recreate your recycle bin. -
CCleaner removing Adblock Plus settings!
Winapp2.ini replied to SMalik's topic in CCleaner Bug Reporting
OT: Oh, I think there's an overlap in Winapp2.ini's cleaning routines then, because there's a Local Storage* entry that also deletes these files. On topic: Add that folder to your exclude paths for the time being and you shouldn't see this behavior anymore. FWIW I think I recall reading that Google doesn't like Chrome Apps/Extensions putting settings in that folder. -
I like the UI, but I guess for me it feels unfinished. I like the direction it's taking, but it feels like I'm using a mockup (which makes sense since it's a beta) For example, the titlebar is much larger than the system default, and there's a lot of padding around the window controls. I'll wait for the next versions and final release to formulate a more complete thought on the UI. Also, does anyone else's UI not animate when minimizing?
