I dont need to install the software. And since it's always plugge din at run time it asks me every time.

Just wanteds to know can you add an ignore exception to a list, so it would not display.

  2. I installed ccleaner on mum's ancient xp machine for the first time ever today. It has never been formatted for several years. The registry cleaner found 723 items to fix!

Iv had a registry cleaner find about 3k before. Jogged it on tbh.

Are you going to check each 700 entrys? I doubt you will. Please make your you back up.

  3. Maybe one for you to consider in the future

Great work, it's always nice to see people trying to help others for nothing in return other then there own self enjoyment doing it.

The only thing i would say is why is it important to install these applications to 'Program files'

None of the above programs should be hardcoded to one location. If this is the case then it is pretty pi** poor coding on the authors behalf.

    Great job on the site

(can admin nuke the other post please. Thank you)

edit: Or are you asking the user to install to these DIR as your app runs the applications exe from these locations?

I assumed they was embedded with your software?

  4. public PC for surfing EBAY-sites or some forum sites an my username will be not cleaned by the cleaningtool, evrybody will be able to look up all my profiles, althoug I just wanted to prevent and avoid this - why else should I use any cleaner..???? :D

why would you be cleaning a public pc? Your profile is only available to a few hundred million people to click on so i would not worrie about that to much

  5. I can t log into quickbooks online edition since using CCleaner. I would not have even used it except a business associate recommended I download it after her e mail account was hacked.

    PLease help me here.

CCleaner has no control over how you log into a site.

Does the site give you any error message?

  6. If you use Firefox's option to "clear private data/clear recent history", is the field blank on a browser reload?

have you any toolbars installed, maybe a toolbar/addon is remembering it...

the lastest ff does not allow clearing of saved passwords on exit. And rightly so. It's a function that has never made any sense to me. Why would u save something just to delete it?

Have you even checked saved passwords for the login thats being displayed?

Overall i would not class this as a breach to your private browsing.(IMO)

  7. it looks crappy, i also hate how with almost every new computer they pre-install norton or mcafee for 30 days, talk about a waste of my time, uninstalling so much stuff when getting a new computer

I dont think the UI is to bad. Thought it would be worse. Every one needs funding. And not every one knows about AV and what to get.

I'd bet it's a extremly high % of first time pc buyers would of never heard of avast etc. So they would need something.

  8. If you don't have access to another pc to try with, maybe one of us could try the subscription for you.

I'd be happy to, just PM your email address to me (or if you prefer, ask if one of the mods above could do it for you), don't post it in plain text on the forum.

Then all you should have to do is click the validation link in the email.

Unless the site has something against your sons address, it should be fine.

I also suggested this to him/her by PM

  9. regarding your first issue. You say your login mask is still visible? But you are not logged in?

for ccleaner to remove this it would have to be wiping saved passwords in FF. which it does not do. And for good reason to. I'd expect to see lots of people starting threads saying they have lost all there saved passwords.

    have i understood you right?
